Wirtshaus Feldwies | Menu & Opening Hours

The Wirtshaus Feldwies in Übersee is much more than a classic inn by Lake Chiemsee. It is a traditional meeting place, a venue for regional cuisine, a house for celebrations, and a piece of vibrant local history. The operators describe it as one of the oldest inns in Chiemgau, first documented in 1554. Today, the establishment combines this long tradition with an open, modern hospitality that caters to families, excursion guests, locals, wedding parties, and event organizers alike. Those looking for Wirtshaus Feldwies Übersee, the menu, opening hours, or events are actually searching for a place that meets many needs simultaneously: good food, genuine atmosphere, plenty of space, and a location with strong regional character. The house is located on the southern shore of Lake Chiemsee in the district of Feldwies and is closely connected to the history of the region. From an old inn tradition, it has evolved over time into a Bavarian host with a hall, beer garden, several parlors, and a culinary profile that consciously focuses on regional products and classic delicacies. Menu and Regional Delicacies at Wirtshaus Feldwies

Those searching for the Wirtshaus Feldwies menu usually want to know whether the cuisine is more modern, traditional, or regionally influenced. The answer is clear: The house sees itself as a place of traditional Upper Bavarian cuisine with local products and a well-maintained inn culture. The operator's website emphasizes that the menu is offered continuously and without rigid meal times, allowing guests to eat flexibly. At the same time, the published menu shows that classic Bavarian dishes are at the forefront. Among others, Feldwieser schnitzel, crackling roast, braised Burgundy roast, soups, salads, and other traditional categories are mentioned. This perfectly aligns with the search intentions surrounding menu, card, and menu items, as visitors do not expect experimental fine dining here, but rather honest, down-to-earth, and craft-oriented cuisine. This is particularly important for excursionists at Lake Chiemsee, as many guests are specifically looking for an inn that offers reliability, regional origin, and a clear culinary line. ([wirtshaus-feldwies.de](https://www.wirtshaus-feldwies.de/?utm_source=openai))

It is particularly interesting that Wirtshaus Feldwies, in its external presentation, emphasizes not only the classic lunch and dinner cuisine but also its culinary breadth. Thus, the menu snippets include not only meat dishes but also fish, vegetarian options, snacks, salads, and desserts. For many users, this is precisely the reason why search queries for menu and card are so strong: They want to understand in advance whether the house works for different groups, whether it is also pleasant for children, older guests, or mixed families, and whether there is enough variety for different preferences. The weekend specialty pork knuckle also shows that the house takes its traditional inn role seriously and does not lose sight of special Bavarian classics. Additionally, the regional ingredient philosophy is explicitly highlighted on the website. This combination of down-to-earthness, variety, and regional profile makes the menu the centerpiece of the entire presentation. Opening Hours and Breakfast at Lake Chiemsee

The search terms Wirtshaus Feldwies opening hours and Wirtshaus Feldwies breakfast also clearly show what visitors want to know in advance: Is the house spontaneously accessible, is there an offer in the morning, and how flexible is the daily schedule on-site? The current location page states daily opening hours without a rest day. It is also noted that breakfast is served from 7:00 to 10:30 AM and that the à-la-carte time begins at 11:30 AM. The official website additionally describes that the complete menu is available daily and continuously. In practice, this means: Wirtshaus Feldwies is not only a place for a classic lunch or dinner but also for early guests, breakfast visits, and relaxed daily routines. This is particularly attractive for Lake Chiemsee visitors, cyclists, hikers, and families who want to plan their route flexibly and do not want to be tied to tight time slots. A house without a rest day also has a clear advantage in the tourist environment, as excursion days are rarely precisely predictable. ([eintauchen-chiemsee.de](https://eintauchen-chiemsee.de/wirtshaus-dfeldwies/))

The opening hours are also interesting in the context of the demand for breakfast and opening hours because they describe the character of the house well. Wirtshaus Feldwies is not only an evening address but a meeting place thought of for the entire day. Breakfast in the morning, regional cuisine at noon, a beer garden for sunny hours, and a hall for the evening or events: This very mix ensures that the house is found very broadly in search engines. For SEO, this is valuable because the location is not only associated with a single keyword type but with several usage phases of the day. It is also practical for guests, as they can stop by before a walk or bike ride just as easily as after a lake excursion or a celebration. The fact that the operator's site speaks of clear times for the menu but simultaneously emphasizes continuous availability underscores the service orientation of the house. Wirtshaus Feldwies thus does not rely on rigid gastronomy but on planable reliability. ([eintauchen-chiemsee.de](https://eintauchen-chiemsee.de/wirtshaus-dfeldwies/))

Events, Weddings, and the Festsaal at Wirtshaus Feldwies

Those searching for Wirtshaus Feldwies events or Wirtshaus Feldwies weddings are looking for a place with more than just tables and a kitchen. This is exactly where the house shows its particular strength. The fest hall is described by the operator as ideal for private wedding celebrations, conferences, public performances, and events of all kinds. It has a stage and a gallery, making the space suitable not only for banquets but also for speeches, music, theater, and cultural formats. The capacity is stated to be up to 200 people, and in a tourism presentation, depending on the event format, even up to 280 people. This makes Wirtshaus Feldwies a very versatile event location in Chiemgau, which is not only a solution for classic restaurant visits but also for planable occasions. In practice, this means: Those planning a wedding, anniversary, family celebration, or corporate event will find a space with authentic Bavarian flair and functional size here. ([eintauchen-chiemsee.de](https://eintauchen-chiemsee.de/wirtshaus-dfeldwies/))

The Wirtshaus Feldwies also regularly plays a role in the local event calendar. In regional calendars, exhibitions, morning pints, theater evenings, and club dates are listed there, among other things. This breadth is important because it shows that the house is not only rented out once but is firmly anchored in the village and cultural life of the area. The inn is thus not just a backdrop for private celebrations but a genuine event venue with public perception. For search queries related to events or programs, this is relevant because visitors often want to know if something is currently happening in the house and whether a visit can be combined with an event. The charm arises from the connection between gastronomy and culture: one does not come only to eat but often experiences a special atmosphere in the house or hall. For weddings, this is a decisive advantage, as a good location needs not only beautiful rooms but also a story, a location, and an atmosphere that remains memorable. Beer Garden, Rooms, and Capacity: The Versatility of Wirtshaus Feldwies

A major advantage of Wirtshaus Feldwies is its spatial diversity. The operator mentions four different rooms: the parlor as the largest dining room, the vaulted room as a rustic side room, the small parlor for smaller private celebrations, and the fest hall for larger events. The parlor accommodates up to 60 people, the vaulted room up to 35, the small parlor up to 20 guests, and the fest hall up to 200 visitors; the beer garden also accommodates around 200 guests. This structure is highly relevant from an SEO perspective, as many search queries related to hall, capacity, seats, and beer garden specifically target such information. For guests, this is particularly helpful because they can already assess which area suits their group before the visit. A small family gathering feels comfortable in the small parlor or the vaulted parlor, while a larger wedding, club evening, or corporate event is much better accommodated in the fest hall. ([eintauchen-chiemsee.de](https://eintauchen-chiemsee.de/wirtshaus-dfeldwies/))

The beer garden is almost as important to the overall picture of the house as the hall. It is described as being served all day and lies under shade-giving chestnut trees. This is exactly the kind of detail that makes Wirtshaus Feldwies so interesting in search queries for photos, impressions, and atmosphere. The beer garden stands for summer, lightness, and longer stays, while the parlor and vaulted room rather show the cozy, warm, and weather-independent side of the house. Together, they create a complete usage spectrum that ranges from quick stops to all-day celebrations. The combination of indoor and outdoor areas is also a clear advantage, as it makes the house flexible for various weather conditions and occasions. For visitors looking for space, atmosphere, and the best place for a group, this versatility is often the decisive reason to choose Feldwies. The capacities are not just a number but an indication that the inn works in different sizes. ([eintauchen-chiemsee.de](https://eintauchen-chiemsee.de/wirtshaus-dfeldwies/))

Photos, Reviews, and the First Impression of Wirtshaus Feldwies

The search queries for Wirtshaus Feldwies photos and Wirtshaus Feldwies reviews show that many users primarily want to gather an impression: What does it look like there, how does it feel, and what do other guests say? From the available descriptions, a fairly clear picture emerges. The house appears cozy, Bavarian, and well-kept at the same time. There is a parlor with a tiled stove, a rustic vaulted room, a small parlor, a large fest hall with a stage and gallery, and a beer garden with chestnut trees. This very mix explains why visual impressions are so important here: The house lives not only from its history but also from the atmosphere of its rooms. For the search intention of photos, it is therefore particularly relevant that the Wirtshaus offers different moods. Those searching for pictures want to see not only the facade but also to understand whether the house appears more traditional, festive, family-friendly, or summery. The existing descriptions suggest that it covers all these facets simultaneously. ([eintauchen-chiemsee.de](https://eintauchen-chiemsee.de/wirtshaus-dfeldwies/))

The reviews also point in the same direction. In directories and restaurant portals, good service, generous indoor and outdoor spaces, and a harmonious atmosphere are often mentioned. Particularly noteworthy is that guests repeatedly highlight space, hospitality, and the relaxed atmosphere. This is particularly important for the search query reviews, as potential visitors want to know not only if the food is good but also if the overall experience is right. Wirtshaus Feldwies seems to excel here: It is large enough for events but not impersonal; traditional enough for an authentic inn feeling but versatile enough for modern occasions. So, those searching for photos or reviews find a house that is visually very clearly positioned: regional, cozy, generous, and suitable for different target groups. This combination of atmosphere and functionality is a strong signal for the overall perception of the location. History, Location, Access, and Parking in Übersee

The history of Wirtshaus Feldwies is one of the strongest reasons why the location is still so influential today. The operator's website describes it as one of the oldest inns in Chiemgau, first mentioned in 1554. The list of innkeepers has been verifiably documented since that time. Another important chapter began in 2003 when the Enzwieser family sold the inn to the municipality of Übersee. Since the municipality could not manage the renovation and reopening alone, citizens and local associations came together. More than 14,000 volunteer hours were contributed to restore the house. This resulted in a stock corporation that leased the inn from the municipality. Since March 2022, Gschwendner Gastronomie GmbH has been the operator. This development makes the house a true community project with a long history and strong local support. ([wirtshaus-feldwies.de](https://www.wirtshaus-feldwies.de/?utm_source=openai))

The location is also highly relevant for the search terms Übersee, Lake Chiemsee, Greimelstraße, and parking. The Wirtshaus is located at Greimelstraße 30, 83236 Übersee in the district of Feldwies, on the southern shore of Lake Chiemsee. Tourism sites explicitly list the house under this address, and a regional hiking route even starts at the parking lot at Wirtshaus d'Feldwies. This is a good signal for access by car, as it shows that the location is well integrated not only gastronomically but also infrastructurally. Additionally, a note from Falstaff points out that the Wirtshaus is among the oldest inns around Lake Chiemsee and shapes the special location in the village image. For guests, this means: Those coming here are not just visiting a restaurant but a place where history, region, and everyday life intertwine. This is precisely what makes Wirtshaus Feldwies so strong in the end: It is a Bavarian inn with real identity, a clear address, practical accessibility, and a significance that goes far beyond the menu. Food and service were phenomenal. Great beer, great food, and wonderful people. Our server was very patient with our poor grasp of the German language and made us feel at ease. The experience here alone made the 7 hr flight worth it. Definitely recommend.

We stopped here for a meal on our drive from Munich to Salzburg. I chose this place because the food and atmosphere looked authentic, and it wholly delivered! Cutely decorated for Christmas, the dining areas were so cozy and felt like you were in someone’s home. We tried a soup and two entrees and both were outstanding. Definitely recommend the schnitzel!

Great local traditional restaurant. Top experienced staff. Very lovely outside garden with trees and plenty of shadow. Top lager beer, large portions and very reasonable prices. Doesn't get any more Bavarish as this. I always stop there when on my trips to and from Germany.

My wife and I both enjoyed delicious meals here and we were so delighted, we made reservations for an additional night. (I recommend calling for reservations because they may require them, as they're that good and they graciously seated us with the understanding that the table was reserved later that evening.) I had the Wiener Zwiebelrosbraten and my wife had the Renke (fish). We had a great seat outside and we did go inside and it looks really nice in a classic German style. Last thing, the salad that came with my meal was also wonderful; fresh and delicious, with a classic light German style dressing. Totally recommend this place. Like I said, we're already headed back. Can't wait because the staff is super friendly as well.

Delicious food and nice friendly and cheerful waitress made our business trip lunch excellent. She's amazing. We might have overloaded the chef though as we were a group of 30 people so waiting time for food was longer than expected. We weren't in a rush so all good.
