Hiking Maps, Tickets, and Accommodation Service
One of the most important reasons to visit the Tourist Information Reit im Winkl is its extensive service regarding maps, tickets, and accommodations. The official site explicitly states that hiking maps are sold there and guests can obtain tickets for theater, folk evenings, and other events. Planning a Vacation in Chiemgau: Hiking, Biking, and Winter
Reit im Winkl is clearly positioned on the official website as a vacation destination for nature experiences, families, active vacationers, and those seeking relaxation. The pages on family vacations, sustainability, and winter offerings show that the place is more than just a transit station in the mountains. It is located in a landscape with extensive mountain forests and belongs to the Bavarian Alpine region; at the same time, the sustainability page points out that air purity is regularly tested and the place is officially recognized as a health resort, offering special quality for guests. For many visitors, this is exactly the reason to come to Reit im Winkl: fresh mountain air, tranquil landscapes, clear orientation, and an environment that naturally combines activity and relaxation. The Tourist Information helps translate these possibilities into concrete daily plans. ([reitimwinkl.de](https://www.reitimwinkl.de/en/sustainability?utm_source=openai))
Reit im Winkl is particularly strong when it comes to winter hiking and nature experiences in the snow. The official winter hiking page describes that winter hiking takes place on cleared but not snow-free paths and that snowshoes are not needed. This means: the paths are passable, the landscape remains wintry, and one can consciously experience the silence of the snowy surroundings. Among other things, premium tours such as Panorama at Hemmersuppenalm and Kaiserblick in the valley are mentioned, tailored to various demands with different lengths and elevation gains. Furthermore, Hemmersuppenalm itself is a particularly notable place, as there are hiking, biking, winter hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoe routes at an altitude of 1250 meters, along with the possibility of reaching it by shuttle bus from the village center. For those wanting to travel in winter, this provides a very clear profile: Reit im Winkl combines tranquility, nature, and well-structured activity offerings instead of mere seasonal operations. ([reitimwinkl.de](https://www.reitimwinkl.de/en/winter-hiking?utm_source=openai))
The region is also well-prepared for families. The family page describes that the place offers numerous ideas for outdoor vacations, including excursions, hiking, biking, playing in the snow, swimming, and the children's program. Additionally, there is a children's hiking trail with stations for climbing, discovering, and marveling, which makes the place particularly interesting for younger guests. So, anyone planning accommodation in Reit im Winkl can design their stay very differently: quiet and relaxing, active and sporty, or playful and family-friendly. The Tourist Information Reit im Winkl supports exactly this diversity, as it conveys tips not abstractly but as concrete orientation on-site. This makes planning easier, and individual ideas become a coherent vacation day with the right route, activity, and destination. ([reitimwinkl.de](https://www.reitimwinkl.de/en/family-holidays?utm_source=openai))
Getting to Reit im Winkl and Parking On-Site
The journey to Reit im Winkl is explained in detail on the official municipal page. For driving from Munich, the A8 motorway to Grabenstätt, exit 109, is recommended; from there, continue towards Marquartstein and then along the well-developed Deutsche Alpenstraße B305 to Reit im Winkl. The website also refers to the options for traveling by train and bus. This is important for guests who do not arrive by their own car or want to use the place as a starting point for a longer vacation. Even though Reit im Winkl is a mountain and holiday resort, the transport connections are clearly described and easy to understand. Practically, this means: those planning the journey can build the route in advance based on the official information instead of searching for the next signs on-site. ([reitimwinkl.de](https://www.reitimwinkl.de/anreise?utm_source=openai))
Parking assistance is provided on the official tour and walking pages. Various circular routes and starting points mention parking options at the Tourist Information in Dorfstraße 38 and at the Festsaal in Tirolerstraße 37. This is especially useful for guests who want to start walks, short hikes, or local rounds directly nearby. Additionally, the Hemmersuppenalm page describes that the ascent or journey is supplemented by a shuttle bus from the village center, which facilitates access to higher areas. Although not every situation is the same, the official information clearly shows: Reit im Winkl considers mobility and provides suitable starting points for different types of excursions. For visitors, this means planning security, as they can see in advance where to park their car or how to get from central points. ([reitimwinkl.de](https://www.reitimwinkl.de/en/touren-pdf?ct=tour&p=kleine-spazierrunde&type=6095&utm_source=openai))
Especially for inquiries such as parking, arrival, or walking through Reit im Winkl, this combination of central location and clearly communicated starting points is particularly helpful. The Tourist Information itself is not only a point of contact for questions but also an orientation point in the village landscape. Those arriving in Dorfstraße are already in the practical center of vacation life. From here, information, routes, and parking can be easily connected. This is an advantage for day visitors, families with children, and travelers who have little time on-site but still want to see as much of the place as possible. ([reitimwinkl.de](https://www.reitimwinkl.de/touristinfo?utm_source=openai))
Accessibility, Lost and Found, and Practical Guest Information
The Tourist Information Reit im Winkl not only offers classic vacation advice but also assistance for special needs. The page on barrier-free vacations and excursions explains that the team is happy to assist in finding suitable accommodations. Additionally, there is a compiled list of wheelchair-accessible excursion destinations in and around Reit im Winkl, including information on accessible toilets and parking. For guests with mobility impairments, this is a significant added value, as research on-site would often be time-consuming and not all details are easily found online. The Tourist Information acts here as an interface between vacation wishes and realistically planable offers. Especially in a place with mountains, paths, and seasonally changing conditions, this structured help is particularly valuable. ([reitimwinkl.de](https://www.reitimwinkl.de/en/contact?utm_source=openai))
The lost and found office is also located in the Tourist Information. So, if someone loses something while out and about, they have a clear point of contact in the village center. Additional practical points make the stay more pleasant: toilets are available during opening hours, there is a defibrillator, and brochures can even be ordered by phone or email. The official contact page also points to the social media channels through which questions can also be asked. This shows that the Tourist Information Reit im Winkl is not just a place for initial contact but a functioning service hub in the daily vacation routine. Those arriving well-prepared can refine details here; those who are spontaneous receive concrete support; and those who have forgotten something usually find a solution quickly. ([reitimwinkl.de](https://www.reitimwinkl.de/touristinfo?utm_source=openai))
Even the small practical extras make a difference: free Wi-Fi, charging points for mobile phones and e-bikes, information on tours, and a central location directly in the village. Especially in a holiday region where guests frequently switch between hiking, biking, winter activities, and relaxation, such details count. They ensure that a visit to the Tourist Information becomes more than just a brief information stop. Those who stop by can recharge, orient themselves, plan, and then continue with much more clarity. That is why the Tourist Information Reit im Winkl is important not only for newcomers but also for returning guests who want to discover new tours, different seasons, and other focuses each time. ([reitimwinkl.de](https://www.reitimwinkl.de/en/tourist-information?utm_source=openai))

The Tourist Information Reit im Winkl is the first and most important point of contact for anyone planning a stay in the Chiemgau or the Bavarian Alps. Located at Dorfstraße 38, directly at the Maypole and in the heart of the village, it consolidates the most important information for vacationers, day visitors, hosts, and anyone who wants to quickly orient themselves in Reit im Winkl. Officially, the Tourist Information is described as a central contact point where one not only receives general information but also very specific assistance for vacation planning: from accommodation searches to tickets to maps and route tips. Particularly interesting is the combination of a classic tourist information center and active vacation services. The official site shows that it is not just about brochures and addresses, but that concrete services such as hiking maps, bookings, ticket sales, tips for tours, and in winter, lift tickets are offered. In addition, there are free or additional services such as Wi-Fi, charging options for mobile phones and e-bikes, toilets during opening hours, and even a defibrillator. For a place like Reit im Winkl, which thrives on nature experiences, hiking, winter offerings, and family-friendly vacations, this mix is particularly valuable. The Tourist Information not only helps find information but actively supports making the stay easier, more relaxed, and better planned. That is exactly what makes it a real starting point for vacations in Chiemgau and Bavaria. ([reitimwinkl.de](https://www.reitimwinkl.de/en/tourist-information?utm_source=openai))
Opening Hours and Contact for the Tourist Information
Anyone wishing to visit the Tourist Information Reit im Winkl in person should keep an eye on the current opening hours. The official opening hours page states that the Tourist Info is currently available Monday to Thursday from 9 AM to 5 PM, as well as Friday and Saturday from 9 AM to 12 PM. It is closed on Sundays and public holidays; it is also noted that special openings may be possible on certain holidays. This is important for visitors because the Tourist Information functions not only as a counter service but also as a telephone contact point. If assistance is needed outside of these hours, one can leave a message on the answering machine or send an email. This ensures that the Tourist Info is reachable even when a personal visit is not possible and ensures that questions about travel planning do not remain unanswered. ([reitimwinkl.de](https://www.reitimwinkl.de/oeffnungszeiten?utm_source=openai))
The contact details are also clearly communicated: The Tourist Information can be reached by phone at +49 8640 80020, and by email at info@reitimwinkl.de. The official contact page describes the facility as assistance for travel planning, accommodation reservations, excursion recommendations, hikes, bike tours, and winter hikes. This range shows that it is not just an administrative office, but a real service point for everyone who wants to design their stay individually. Additionally, it is emphasized that the Tourist Information is located directly on-site at the Maypole. For guests, this means: Anyone arriving in the village has a clearly visible address, reliable contact paths, and a team that takes care of practical questions related to the vacation. Especially for short stays, spontaneous day trips, or arrivals without fixed planning, this central accessibility is a great advantage. ([reitimwinkl.de](https://www.reitimwinkl.de/en/contact?utm_source=openai))
The team also assists with accommodation searches, provides recommendations, and makes reservations. So, anyone who does not yet know whether they want to stay in a hotel, guesthouse, holiday apartment, or chalet receives concrete help here. The site also mentions the online booking of rooms and apartments, hotels, inns, guesthouses, and chalets. This combines classic advice with digital planning and becomes a hub where the vacation can be structured from the first idea to the actual booking. ([reitimwinkl.de](https://www.reitimwinkl.de/en/tourist-information?utm_source=openai))
The Tourist Information is also well-equipped for tour planning. It advises on hikes, bike tours, winter hikes, and general vacation planning and describes itself as a contact point for anyone looking for insider tips for the most beautiful paths around Reit im Winkl. This fits the profile of the place as a nature and activity destination. In winter, the sale of lift tickets for the Winklmoos-Alm/Steinplatte area is added, which is particularly practical for guests who want to keep their stay flexible. Those visiting the region for the first time save time and also receive tips that go beyond mere basic information. Especially in a holiday destination where nature experiences, winter sports, hiking vacations, and family activities are closely intertwined, this combination of advice, ticket sales, and booking service is a real added value. ([reitimwinkl.de](https://www.reitimwinkl.de/en/tourist-information?utm_source=openai))
Other services also include free Wi-Fi, charging for mobile phones, charging for e-bikes, distribution of tour brochures, registration for the children's program, the meeting point for guided hikes, as well as the sale of souvenirs and gifts. Toilets are also available during opening hours. These details may seem small at first, but they often make the biggest difference in everyday travel. Those traveling with a day backpack, bicycle, or stroller appreciate quick and reliable infrastructure. The Tourist Information Reit im Winkl fulfills exactly this role: it is a consulting center, starting point, service point, and orientation aid at the same time. Thus, a short stop quickly becomes a meaningful part of the overall travel planning, as knowledge, practical support, and regional recommendations come together here.
Why Reit im Winkl is a Strong Vacation Destination
The Tourist Information Reit im Winkl benefits from a place that is very clearly focused on vacation, nature, and quality. The i-mark of the German Tourism Association stands for good advisory quality, extensive tourist information, and additional services for guests. These characteristics are reflected in the offerings of the Tourist Information: personal advice, map sales, accommodation assistance, tickets, winter services, and many practical extras. Anyone visiting Reit im Winkl thus receives not only an address but a real framework for orientation throughout their stay. This is particularly relevant because the place functions in several seasons: in summer with hikes and bike tours, in winter with winter hiking and ski areas, and year-round with family offerings and nature experiences. The Tourist Info sensibly links these levels together and turns a vacation decision into a well-prepared stay. ([reitimwinkl.de](https://www.reitimwinkl.de/touristinfo?utm_source=openai))

This is where its strength lies. It combines local reliability with tourist diversity and helps to experience Reit im Winkl as the place can best offer: clear, nature-oriented, service-oriented, and well-organized. Quite generous opening hours, good personal service, a lot of brochures and info material inside, good maps for winter and summer seasons outside. Local bus stop and shuttle stops are directly in front. All-around good tourist information, at least in German (haven't tried out English).
