Nice staff. It's very pleasant to sit in the courtyard. The food is very good. We almost couldn't finish our "normal" portion. So it was flawless. Recommended! Beautiful path around the lake.

The restaurant is very nicely located. There is a separate entrance on the side for wheelchair users that leads into the dining hall vault of the restaurant. It's a bit too dark to eat in the vault. The food tastes good, but the selection is very limited. That's not necessarily bad. The combination of the few dishes is also special. That means, for example, if someone doesn't want light sauerkraut, they only have the option of greasy fried potatoes. The price-performance ratio is borderline. The meals have a high price, the portions are sufficient. But the plates look great when served. The staff is friendly and attentive. They constantly ask if everything is okay, but when it comes to clearing the used dishes, they take their sweet time, even though there weren't that many guests in the hall. In short, if you're making a trip to the monastery or the lake, you can eat well here. But compared to other upscale destinations, it's just standard!

We really earned the monastery beer beforehand... Hiking around Griesssee and Klostersee... really relaxed walking with a lot of peace in untouched nature... On the lakeside terrace, we were greeted by friendly service, the ambiance, the water, the monastery... just a place of relaxation! The food served at the neighboring tables looked super delicious, and judging by the looks of the diners, it must have tasted great too! 🤣

Super nice place with a lot of flair, very attentive service team, fresh ingredients, and a top-notch chef in the kitchen - my wife and I can wholeheartedly recommend the monastery restaurant. The braised beef cheeks practically fall off the fork, as tender as the food was. The sautéed vegetables were super tasty, just like the homemade tagliatelle. And the dessert! Everything was very harmonious at a very reasonable price! That's why full 5 stars!!!
