Kaiser-Reich Tourist Information | Opening Hours & Directions

The Kaiser-Reich Tourist Information in Kiefersfelden is the central point of contact for all those who want to not just visit the place but truly experience it. Those arriving at the foot of the Kaiser Mountains often first seek orientation: Where is the right address, when is it open, which tours are worth it, and how do you plan the day without unnecessary detours? This is exactly where the tourist information comes in. At Rathausplatz 5 in the leisure pool INNSOLA, the team helps find accommodations, provides excursion tips, plans cycling and hiking tours, and offers practical advice for summer, winter, and transitional periods. Kiefersfelden itself is described on the official tourism site as a spa town with around 7000 inhabitants and understood as the gateway to the Kaiser. The town is located in the lower Inn Valley, combining alpine landscape with a border location, making it an excellent starting point for nature experiences, short stops, and longer holiday stays. The official website states that the opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. From May to October, it is also open on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This makes the tourist information particularly accessible during the peak season, but also reliably staffed outside of weekends. The address is Rathausplatz 5, 83088 Kiefersfelden, in the leisure pool INNSOLA. For inquiries, the service phone number 08033 / 9765 – 27 is available, as well as the email address info@kiefersfelden.de. This shows that visitors can expect not an anonymous information point, but a small team with direct responsibility and local knowledge. ([tourismus-kiefersfelden.de](https://www.tourismus-kiefersfelden.de/lage-und-anfahrt/))

Especially for guests who arrive spontaneously or decide on-site which route, accommodation, or activity suits the day, this personal accessibility is valuable. The tourism site clearly states that visitors can contact the team directly with questions about accommodations, excursion tips, or cycling and hiking tours. Thus, the tourist information is not only an information point but also a consulting office. Those wanting a quick assessment of whether a tour is more leisurely, family-friendly, or sporty receive local orientation instead of general standard tips. The location within the leisure pool INNSOLA is also practical, as it connects the tourist information with a well-known location in the town. For many travelers, this is important: an address that is easy to remember, a clear opening logic, and a team that knows the region. In Kiefersfelden, this service is clearly reflected on the official information pages. ([tourismus-kiefersfelden.de](https://www.tourismus-kiefersfelden.de/tourist-information-kiefersfelden/))

The combination of address, opening hours, and team structure makes the facility a reliable first stop in the area. Directions by Car, Train, and Bicycle

A strong theme on the official pages is the directions, and for good reason: Kiefersfelden is conveniently located in southern Upper Bavaria and is a natural stopover for many travelers on their way to Tyrol, South Tyrol, or Italy. The tourism site describes the route by car very specifically: Via the A8 from Munich to the Inntaldreieck, then onto the A93 towards Innsbruck and exit Kiefersfelden, just before the border crossing. This location is practical for drivers and motorcyclists as it provides quick access with alpine proximity. At the same time, the official site emphasizes that Kiefersfelden is also suitable as a stopover for trips to South Tyrol or towards Italy. So, for those traveling by car, this site offers not just an address but a strategic starting point in the Alpine region. ([tourismus-kiefersfelden.de](https://www.tourismus-kiefersfelden.de/lage-und-anfahrt/))

The town is also easily accessible by train. The official information site refers to the Kiefersfelden train station on the route Munich, Rosenheim, Innsbruck with hourly service. This makes traveling without a personal vehicle realistic and for many guests even more comfortable than driving through the Inn Valley. It is also important to note the pick-up service provided by landlords. This is especially valuable for vacationers with luggage or for guests who have not chosen their accommodation directly at the train station. Those who want to travel flexibly can rely on a combination of train and local support. Especially for short vacations or weekend stays, this is a practical advantage, as one arrives relaxed and can start the vacation immediately. ([tourismus-kiefersfelden.de](https://www.tourismus-kiefersfelden.de/lage-und-anfahrt/))

For cyclists, the official site refers to the Inn Valley Cycle Path, which runs continuously from Landeck via Innsbruck to Passau. This is a strong signal to active guests, as Kiefersfelden is thus not only a destination by car and train but also a well-connected point for longer bike tours. Those who enjoy cycling as a form of vacation will find a starting or stopover point in the town with clear tourist infrastructure. The location at the foot of the Kaiser Mountains, the border proximity, and the connection to the Inn Valley Cycle Path make the tourist information an address that one should not only approach when having questions but should also be aware of when planning the trip. So, anyone searching for directions Kiefersfelden or arrival DB & car will find concrete and reliable information here on the official pages. Service, Guest Card, and Practical Planning Assistance

The Kaiser-Reich Tourist Information is much more than a place for brochures. The official website makes it clear that the team supports practical vacation questions: Those looking for accommodations, needing excursion tips, or wanting recommendations for cycling and hiking tours will find advice with local knowledge here. In addition, there is a clearly structured service area with topics such as hiking and mountaineering, cycling and e-bike rental, excursions and city tours, lakes, rivers, and waterfalls, dining, music, theater, and culture, as well as cross-country skiing and sledding. This broad range of topics shows that Kiefersfelden is not tailored to just one target group. Families, active vacationers, winter sports fans, and culture enthusiasts each receive suitable points of contact. This is exactly why the tourist information functions as the logistical heart of the town. It organizes the variety instead of just listing it. ([tourismus-kiefersfelden.de](https://www.tourismus-kiefersfelden.de/tourist-information-kiefersfelden/))

Particularly helpful is the service area around searching and finding. The website refers to an interactive leisure map, alpine huts, the Kieferer inn guide, the event calendar, and accommodations in Kiefersfelden. This means: Guests do not have to painstakingly combine several sources but receive a curated package of orientation and experience. Those interested in a hike can prepare with maps and hut information. Those who prefer to dine will find gastronomic hints. Those looking for events will be directed to the calendar. And those needing a bed will go directly to accommodation searches. This interplay makes the tourist information a real planning tool for the stay. Also listed on the site are brochure orders, guest cards, travel information, webcams, and a charging station for electric cars. This is particularly valuable for modern travel planning, as it provides support from the first contact to the concrete implementation. ([tourismus-kiefersfelden.de](https://www.tourismus-kiefersfelden.de/unser-service-e-bike-verleih-kiefersfelden/))

The guest card complements this offer in a meaningful way. According to the official site, the Kaiser-Reich guest card offers year-round and seasonal benefits, including discounts, free services, and practical extras. For example, hiking maps in the Kaiser-Reich information, free Wi-Fi in the tourist information, a local map, telescopic hiking pole rental, an overview of the year-round hiking and walking paths in the town, as well as further discounts at excursion destinations and cultural offerings are mentioned. For guests, this is doubly interesting: on one hand, the stay becomes cheaper, and on the other, a clear added value arises because many useful little things can be organized directly on-site. This mix of information, service, and regional networking ensures that the Kaiser-Reich Tourist Information remains the first and most important stop for many visitors in the town. ([tourismus-kiefersfelden.de](https://www.tourismus-kiefersfelden.de/gaestekarte/))

E-Bike Rental, Local Bus, and Mobility Without a Car

A particularly practical component of the offer is the e-bike rental. According to the official service page, it is offered from April to November, depending on the weather. The rental station is located directly at the Kaiser-Reich information at Rathausplatz 5 in Kiefersfelden. The text describes the e-bike as effortless, flexible, and suitable for both trained and untrained cyclists. This is important for the town, as the surrounding area with its climbs, valley paths, and excursion options clearly benefits from electric drive. Those wanting to be out longer can cover distances between 40 and 80 kilometers with the bikes. Additionally, no registration or driver's license is required. This lowers the entry barrier and makes the rental attractive even for spontaneous guests. Those wanting to simply try it out can even receive a short free test ride. The pricing structure is also transparently presented: half a day or a full day, each with and without a guest card. ([tourismus-kiefersfelden.de](https://www.tourismus-kiefersfelden.de/unser-service-e-bike-verleih-kiefersfelden/))

For guests without their own car, local mobility is also well organized. The website provides information about the local and hiking bus, which in the summer months serves important starting points such as the Gießenbachklamm, the leisure area Hocheck/Oberaudorf, and the hiking area Brünnstein. This allows for flexible vacation planning in the Kaiser-Reich without having to get into the car every time. Additionally, the guest card area on the website highlights the free local bus or hiking bus during certain periods and also points out free or discounted services such as free travel in the MVV in zones 5 to 12. For vacationers, this is a strong argument, as routes become simpler, cheaper, and more sustainable. Especially in a region that focuses on nature, movement, and views, a functioning mobility network is a real quality factor. ([tourismus-kiefersfelden.de](https://www.tourismus-kiefersfelden.de/gaestekarte/))

The tourist information itself additionally supports this mobility, as it serves as a point of contact for maps, advice, and rental services. The website also lists offers such as telescopic hiking pole rental, local maps, trail maps, and further seasonal tips. Together with the e-bike rental and the local bus, this creates a coherent mobility concept for guests who want to actively explore the region. Those searching specifically for e-bike rental Kiefersfelden or local bus hiking bus Kiefersfelden will not land on a random offer but at a clearly documented service at the same location. This is exactly what makes the tourist information a good starting point for all those who want to discover the region without complicated logistics. ([tourismus-kiefersfelden.de](https://www.tourismus-kiefersfelden.de/unser-service-e-bike-verleih-kiefersfelden/))

Accessibility and Kiefersfelden as a Starting Point for Excursions

Also regarding accessibility, the official information page provides concrete details. The Kaiser-Reich Information Kiefersfelden is listed on erlebe.bayern with the note of partial accessibility for people with mobility impairments. During the testing period from February 2023 to January 2026, two designated parking spaces for people with disabilities, an 80-meter path from the parking lot to the entrance, step-free access, and an accessible public restroom were mentioned. Additionally, almost all usable doors and passages are at least 90 cm wide, and the counter is 75 cm high at its lowest point. For visitors with mobility restrictions, this is an important practical note, as the visit becomes more manageable. Additionally, a public restroom for people with disabilities is listed. This shows that the tourist information aims not only to inform but also to be as accessible as possible. ([erlebe.bayern](https://erlebe.bayern/urlaub-fuer-alle/kaiser-reich-information-kiefersfelden/))

The accessibility information is also valuable because it makes the visit tangible in everyday life. Not only the address but also paths, door widths, and the location of the bus stop are mentioned. The bus stop is located 80 meters away directly at the parking lot. This is important for travelers who want to assess access, short paths, and mobility entrances in advance. The site also states that no tours are offered for people with mobility impairments and wheelchair users. This is honest information that helps with planning. Instead of general promises, there are clear facts. This is exactly what makes the tourist information reliable for many visitors. It is not only formally accessible but is transparently described in its structural and organizational conditions. ([erlebe.bayern](https://erlebe.bayern/urlaub-fuer-alle/kaiser-reich-information-kiefersfelden/))

Kiefersfelden itself also offers plenty of reasons to stay longer. The official tourism site describes the town as an attractive mountain location in the lower Inn Valley with flat walking and cycling paths along rivers and lakes, low mountain ranges with rustic huts for mountain tours, and alpine massifs for summit goals. The highest mountain in the municipality and the entire Chiemsee-Alpenland is the Große Traithen at 1852 meters. In addition, in summer, there are lakes for swimming, the Hödenauersee for water sports, the leisure pool INNSOLA as a bad weather option, the ferry across the Inn, as well as cultural highlights such as knight plays, puppet theater, and the Blaahaus Museum. In winter, there are cross-country ski trails, cleared hiking paths, and prepared sledding runs. This makes the tourist information not only a consulting place but also a logical starting point for very different day plans. So, anyone searching for tourist information Kiefersfelden or Kiefersfelden discovery will find a region where nature, culture, and movement closely interact. Ms. Bugl took a lot of time to give me detailed, extraordinarily friendly, and competent advice despite the initial lunch break. Thank you so much for everything! The little hike from Kiefersfelden to Kufstein along the high trail was very beautiful!

We spent our vacation in August 2023 in the beautiful Kiefersfelden. Even before our arrival, we called the Kaiser-Reich Tourist Information to speak with Mr. Werner Schroller because we had questions. Whether in that phone call or when we were there in person, Mr. Schroller was exemplary friendly and helpful. Even with a little "problem" regarding our disability, Mr. Schroller found a solution for us without complications and promptly, which made us very, very happy and grateful... Once again, heartfelt thanks for your humanity and very friendly manner, which also applies to "your" ladies!!!!

Great place and nice service
