Farm Shop with Bistro and Cafe Sepp'n-Bauer | Farm Shop & Bistro

The Sepp'n-Bauer in Bernau am Chiemsee is more than just a farm shop and more than a café: It is a developed farm experience between Chiemsee and Kampenwand, combining regional products, honest gastronomy, and rural hospitality in a particularly harmonious way. Those who stop by experience a family-run business that openly shows its roots in small-scale agriculture while simultaneously creating a modern, inviting destination for day-trippers, regular guests, and connoisseurs. The new farm shop forms the heart of the farm and is described on the website as having around 135 square meters; directly connected is a bistro with space for up to 24 people. Seasonal delicacies, a terrace in summer, and the feeling of taking a piece of Chiemgau lifestyle home with you accompany the visit. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/?utm_source=openai))

Especially strong is the mix of shopping, dining, and experience. The farm shop offers products directly from the farmer and from the region, the bistro serves changing daily specials, and around the farm, guided tours, carriage rides, and special action days complement the offering. This combination fits perfectly with the frequently searched topics around farm shop, bistro, opening hours, farm tours, and regional products. For this reason, Sepp'n-Bauer is not only suitable as a destination for lunch but also as a location for a relaxed stop on a tour through Chiemgau. The official page describes the operation as a nature-friendly and sustainably managed farm, embedded in the landscape at the foot of the Rudersberg and at the edge of the Kendlmühlfilze. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/?utm_source=openai))

Farm Shop, Bistro, and Café at Sepp'n-Bauer

The farm shop at Sepp'n-Bauer is not just a sales area but the central place of the entire concept. The official website emphasizes that the farm shop forms the heart of the farm and offers a comprehensive range of regional delicacies. Particularly valuable for guests is the atmosphere: shopping in peace, receiving advice, tasting, and then taking a seat directly in the bistro. This connection between shopping and enjoyment makes the location so strong for search queries related to farm shop with bistro and farm café. The operation speaks of regional products directly from the area and that a large part of the offered food is even produced directly on the farm itself. This directness is the most important reason for many visitors to stop in Bernau am Chiemsee. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/der-hofladen-ueberblick?utm_source=openai))

The bistro is intentionally kept small and personal. With up to 24 seats, the atmosphere remains manageable and calm, while at the same time, it feels pleasantly open due to the traditionally modern design. In summer, additional seats are available on the terrace, making the view of the farm activities and the relaxed dining experience outdoors even more attractive. The homepage regularly lists daily specials for the bistro or for takeout, such as hearty home-style cooking and vegetarian alternatives. This makes Sepp'n-Bauer suitable for both a quick lunch and a longer stay with coffee, cake, or a small warm meal. For SEO, this mix of bistro, café, farm shop, and takeout offerings is particularly strong because it covers multiple user intents at once. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/kulinarik?utm_source=openai))

Additionally, the offering does not appear artificially staged but remains closely connected to the farm. Guests do not sit in an anonymous gastronomy setting but right in the middle of an active farm operation that makes products, animals, and agriculture visible. This authenticity is also palpable in the published visitor information: tasting in the farm shop is explicitly welcome, the advice should be friendly and relaxed, and shopping should make the difference between regional goods and anonymous mass-produced goods tangible. The bistro perfectly complements this because it does not distract from the character of the farm but extends it in an experiential way. For a location page, this is a central advantage because it creates a clear utility: shopping, eating, lingering, and experiencing the farm directly. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/der-hofladen-ueberblick?utm_source=openai))

Opening Hours, Location, and Directions to Bernau am Chiemsee

The official opening hours are clearly stated and easy for visitors to plan: Tuesdays from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesdays to Fridays from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Furthermore, the operation points out that appointments can also be made by arrangement. For all those specifically searching for opening hours, this is an important SEO and utility factor because farm shops and cafés in rural areas often rely on fixed time windows. The contact page also provides the phone number and email address, which is important for reservations, inquiries, and group requests. The municipal and tourism page further shows that the Bernau am Chiemsee region is easily accessible and suitable for excursions by car, bicycle, or as part of an experience tour. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/kontakt?utm_source=openai))

The location itself is a significant part of the attraction. Sepp'n-Bauer is located in the district of Farbing, nestled between Chiemsee and Kampenwand, directly at the foot of the Rudersberg and at the edge of the Kendlmühlfilze. This location makes the farm a good destination for people who want to not only see Chiemgau but also taste it. The official description explicitly highlights that the visit is particularly appealing due to the proximity to the Chiemsee shore and the mountain world of the Chiemgau Alps. So, anyone planning an excursion around Bernau will find a place where nature, agriculture, and culinary direct marketing come together. For the journey, it is therefore less about an urban parking garage and more about orientation towards Bernau-Farbing and contact with the operation. Specific parking information is not separately listed on the official pages we evaluated; therefore, the most reliable information remains the direct inquiry with the farm. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/der-bauernhof?utm_source=openai))

This also fits the character of the establishment: not a large-scale event complex, but a farm with a manageable, personal layout. This is precisely where many guests see the advantage. One does not come only to consume but experiences a real place with family history, agriculture, and artisanal food production. In the SEO context, topics like directions, opening hours, and location cannot be viewed in isolation but always in conjunction with the character of the farm. Those searching for a farm shop with café in Bernau am Chiemsee expect authenticity and uncomplicated planning. Exactly this is offered by Sepp'n-Bauer through clear opening hours, good regional integration, and the invitation to contact before a visit by phone or email. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/kontakt?utm_source=openai))

Farm Tour, Carriage Ride, and Farm Experience

A particularly strong unique selling point is the farm tours. The homepage of the farm announces a tour with cheese and sausage tasting every Friday at 2 PM. The official event page of the municipality of Bernau confirms this offering and specifies for 2026 the period from mid-March to the end of October, the price of 8 euros per person, the minimum number of participants of 3 people, and the necessary registration. For search queries related to farm tours, farm experiences, or carriage rides, this is extremely relevant because the farm not only sells products but also imparts knowledge and insights. Visitors gain insight into regional, small-scale agriculture with direct marketing and receive tasting samples from the farm shop afterward. ([bernau-am-chiemsee.de](https://www.bernau-am-chiemsee.de/bernau/event/detail/Bernau-aChiemsee-Wanderungen-Fuehrungen-Hoffuehrung-mit-Kaese-und-Wurstverkostung-beim-Sepp-n-Bauernhof-2785433/302115200?utm_source=openai))

The experiential character also plays a significant role. The website describes that the operation openly informs about animals, agriculture, and rural traditions and that the area around Chiemsee and Kampenwand is very suitable for carriage and sled rides. The visitor texts also emphasize that the offerings are suitable not only for vacationers but also for locals, customers, and interested parties. This is important for a location like Sepp'n-Bauer because it addresses multiple target groups simultaneously: families, day-trippers, groups, and connoisseurs. Through the farm tour, a simple shopping stop becomes an experience with added value that can be well combined with a café visit, a lunch, or shopping in the farm shop. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/der-bauernhof?utm_source=openai))

The carriage rides are mentioned on the website and in the accompanying regional information as part of the farm experience. For guests looking for a destination with rural charm, this is particularly attractive: first the insight into the farm, then a small moment of enjoyment in the bistro or taking home regional specialties. The structure of the offering appears intentionally low-threshold. One does not have to be a large group traveler to participate; at the same time, the farm is also recommended for celebrations and events with rural charm. This broad readability is a significant SEO advantage because the farm remains relevant on multiple levels. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/der-bauernhof?utm_source=openai))

Regional Products, Gift Baskets, and Variety of Products

The product range is clearly focused on regional quality and direct marketing. The homepage and the farm shop section describe that the operation offers meat and sausage products, hay milk cheese, fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as seasonal specialties like elderflower syrup. Particularly strong is the statement that the majority of the products are produced directly on the farm itself. For visitors searching for regional products in Bernau am Chiemsee, this is a clear argument. Additionally, there is the possibility to receive advice in the farm shop and to taste delicacies. This makes the shopping experience more personal and credible than in a classic retail environment. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/?utm_source=openai))

In addition, gift baskets and vouchers play a visible role. The website presents Chiemgau gift baskets as gift ideas for various occasions, such as birthdays, celebrations, anniversaries, corporate events, and clubs. This is interesting not only for private buyers but also for companies looking for regional gifts. There is also the note that the selection of the product range can be given as a voucher. From an SEO perspective, this information is valuable because keywords related to gift baskets, gift ideas, and regional gifts complement the farm shop context meaningfully. Those who find Sepp'n-Bauer online should have as many reasons as possible to not only visit the farm but also to use it as a source for souvenirs and gifts. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/geschenkkrbe?utm_source=openai))

The regional anchoring is also strongly emphasized. On the partner and information pages, the farm is presented as part of the Chiemsee-Alpenland enjoyment region, and in 2024, the farm shop was again rated as number 1 among the best farm shops in Chiemgau according to its own statement. Such references are interesting for seekers because they build trust and distinguish the farm from purely functional shopping options. Sepp'n-Bauer presents itself as a farm shop with quality standards, as a regional direct marketer, and as an award-winning excursion destination. It is precisely the combination of product range, origin, and recognition that makes the operation particularly strong for the topics of farm shop, regional products, and enjoyment. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/?utm_source=openai))

Breakfast, Lunch Specials, and Seasonal Highlights

In addition to the classic farm shop visit, the culinary daily business is an important search topic. The homepage lists current daily specials in the bistro or for takeout, making the farm attractive for guests with spontaneous lunch breaks or excursion searches. There are also fixed seasonal offers: Wednesdays are apple strudel days with homemade, changing varieties, and Saturdays feature white sausage breakfasts with pretzel and drink. These regularly recurring offers are particularly valuable for local SEO because they appeal to both regular guests and visitors specifically searching for breakfast, cake, or Bavarian specialties. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/?utm_source=openai))

The atmosphere supports this concept. The website describes the bistro area as traditionally modern and invites guests to stop by after shopping or after a bike or lake tour. This also fits well with the location of Bernau am Chiemsee, which is strongly shaped by the lake, mountains, and bike paths. Particularly convincing is that Sepp'n-Bauer does not simply offer food but embeds moments of enjoyment in a farm situation. Those sitting here do not look out onto a random street but onto a lively farm with all its sounds, processes, and seasonal impressions. This transforms breakfast or lunch into a very concrete experience that clearly stands out from standardized gastronomy offerings. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/kulinarik?utm_source=openai))

The seasonal elements also have a strong recognition value. Apple strudel day and white sausage breakfast are simple, clear offerings that are immediately understood and generate attention in search results. Additionally, there is the option to take the dishes with you. This expands the reach of the farm beyond just seated guests and makes Sepp'n-Bauer interesting for relevant visitors on the go. Especially for content related to farm café, bistro, breakfast, and delicacies, this is an ideal combination of emotional benefit and practical orientation. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/?utm_source=openai))

Animals, Agriculture, and Family Business

A central part of the profile is visible agriculture. The website describes that the Pinzgauer cattle live in mother cow and pasture husbandry on lush mountain meadows, that the pigs are raised on straw, and that chickens, ducks, and geese are kept in free-range conditions. These details are not only important for the brand image but also for the perception of the operation as a conscious, nature-friendly farm. Guests thus gain a clear understanding of how closely the farm shop, animal husbandry, and food production are interconnected. For search queries related to farms, animals, and regional agriculture, this is a relevant core of information. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/?utm_source=openai))

Additionally, other animals and uses are mentioned on the animal pages, such as Noriker horses for carriage rides and Duroc pigs. The texts emphasize robustness, free-range husbandry, and good meat, showing that animal husbandry is understood not as a side issue but as the foundation of the farm concept. The family structure is also openly communicated: the farm is an owner-operated family business where everyone helps out. This gives the Sepp'n-Bauer brand credibility and emotional closeness. In a time when many users are looking for genuine origins and transparent production, such a family business is particularly well positioned. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/unsere-tiere?utm_source=openai))

The regional and landscape references round out the picture. The farm is located between Chiemsee and Kampenwand, on the edge of a heavily shaped natural area, and the regional partner and tourism texts emphasize the proximity to the Bavarian Sea, bike paths, mountains, and excursion destinations. This makes it clear why Sepp'n-Bauer is equally interesting for vacationers, day guests, and locals: one not only gets food but also an insight into the regional cultural and agricultural landscape. It is precisely from this interplay of farm, animal, product, and landscape that the strength of this location arises. ([seppnbauer.de](https://www.seppnbauer.de/der-bauernhof?utm_source=openai))

We've been coming here on holiday for several years now. The farm shop and especially the products are excellent. The farm tour gives you a little insight into agriculture. The carriage rides are entertaining and also at family-friendly prices. If the products were available in an online shop, we would gladly buy some to take home – we will definitely come back.

We've been spending our summer holidays at Lake Chiemsee for years and always visit Seppnbauern to shop and take a carriage ride with a farm tour. It's always so welcoming, and it's wonderful to see how the farm continues to develop. Hats off to them! The freshly made food we buy, like the meat and cheese, is always a treat! Thank you for the wonderful day we spent with you today! Best regards from Freiburg
