House Rufinus at Kloster Seeon | Prices & Information

House Rufinus at Kloster Seeon combines the tranquil location by Lake Seeon with the comfort of a small wellness hotel and the clear structure of a hotel Garni. Those looking for information, prices, rooms, arrival, or reviews will find accommodation that consciously focuses on relaxation rather than large hotel theatrics. The house is located in Seeon in Chiemgau, between Munich and Salzburg, about 7 km north of Lake Chiemsee, and is understood as a retreat for relaxation, short vacations, seminars, and conscious breaks. The location is not only picturesque but also practical: parking at the house, breakfast included, clear room categories, and a wellness area that truly deserves the name Wohlfühlkeller. Officially, the house presents itself as a non-smoking hotel with 22 rooms, a strong connection to nature, and a focus on personal hospitality. This makes it suitable for guests seeking a quiet, well-maintained, and easily accessible accommodation rather than an anonymous large facility. This blend of history, location, and practicality makes House Rufinus particularly interesting for inquiries regarding hotel, Klostersee, prices, parking, and arrival. Prices, Rooms, and Reservations at House Rufinus

The choice of rooms at House Rufinus is intentionally kept simple, making it pleasantly easy to understand for many travelers. Available are single rooms with balcony, single rooms without balcony, double rooms without balcony, and double rooms with balcony. According to the official room page, sizes range from about 21 to 28 m² for rooms without balcony and from about 25 to 30 m² for rooms with balcony. The occupancy is clearly regulated: single rooms for one person, double rooms for two persons. The website describes the furnishings as cozy; additionally, the official descriptions mention shower and toilet, telephone, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and in selected categories also kettle, hairdryer, and balcony. For guests looking for pictures, this combination is important: the house does not present itself as a design experiment but as a quiet, functional, and well-maintained accommodation with a homely atmosphere. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/zimmer/))

The pricing structure is also transparent. According to the current price list, the single room without balcony costs €95.00 per room per day including breakfast, the single room with balcony €104.00, the double room without balcony €131.00, and the double room with balcony €149.00. Extra beds for children up to 12 years, for adults, as well as baby beds are also listed. The reservation information also states that the prices per room per day with breakfast are plus tourist tax; parking at the house is included in the services, as well as Wi-Fi and VAT on the mentioned services. Arrival is possible from 3:00 PM, and departure is scheduled until 11:00 AM. If arriving later than 7:00 PM, guests should inform the house. Payment can be made in cash, with EC card, or with Master or Visa card according to the official site. This creates a pricing and booking picture that is clearly designed for practical planning and promises no hidden surprises. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/zimmer/preisliste-zimmer/))

For longer stays and for those looking for a hotel with a fair structure, it is also important to note that this is a hotel Garni. This means in everyday life primarily: the focus is on overnight stays, breakfast, comfort, and relaxation. Half and full board are not the core model of the house; instead, the organization is compact and clear. Guests can flexibly design their daily program, whether it be walks by Lake Klostersee, excursions to Lake Chiemsee, visits to Kloster Seeon, or quiet hours in the wellness area. This combination of fixed prices, included breakfast, parking, and manageable house structure makes the search for prices, booking, and information here very simple. Those searching for House Rufinus at Kloster Seeon prices or information receive a very clear offer: a well-kept hotel with comprehensible conditions and personal character. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/region/hotel-am-chiemsee-im-chiemgau/?utm_source=openai))

Arrival, Parking, and Location at Klostersee

The location of House Rufinus is one of the greatest advantages of the house. The official website describes the accommodation as easily accessible and conveniently located between Munich and Salzburg, in Seeon at Klostersee and about 7 km north of Lake Chiemsee. Those arriving by car drive via the A8 Munich-Salzburg; the next exits are Bernau/Prien and Traunstein/Schweinbach. Alternatively, one can switch to the B304 in Munich and thus choose a scenic route. For many guests searching for directions or Seeon-Seebruck Germany, this combination is crucial: rural tranquility, but no hard-to-reach seclusion. The house is not located somewhere in the middle of nowhere but in a region that consciously focuses on relaxation, lakes, nature, and short distances. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/anreise/?utm_source=openai))

Arrival by public transport is also possible, although less convenient than by car. The official site recommends the train stations Bad Endorf or Traunstein; from there, it continues by taxi or bus. The RVO bus stop is located across the street. For air travelers, the house lists the distances from Munich Airport at 80 km and Salzburg Airport at 50 km. This makes the hotel also interesting for guests arriving from other regions who still wish for an uncomplicated transfer. The reservation information also states that a parking space at the house is included in the services. For SEO searches for parking, arrival, and information, this is an important point, as a fixed parking space on-site significantly reduces organizational stress. Especially for short stays, weekend trips, or business trips, this provides a real gain in comfort. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/anreise/?utm_source=openai))

The surrounding area itself is also a strong location factor. On the region page, House Rufinus describes Klostersee as reachable in just a few minutes on foot and as a popular swimming lake in a charming location. Activities mentioned include swimming, sailing, cycling, golfing, tennis, horseback riding, and hiking; in winter, ice skating and curling on Klostersee are added. This is more than just a nice excursion tip, as it shows that the house is embedded in a real recreational landscape. Therefore, those searching for a hotel at Klostersee will not only get a bed and breakfast but also a starting point for many activities right at the door. This is why the location is so valuable for search terms related to Seeon, Chiemsee, directions, and parking. The house is a quiet retreat with a short distance to water, nature, and culture. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/region/))

Images, Rooms, and Amenities with Personal Character

Those looking for images of House Rufinus at Kloster Seeon usually expect not a showroom but a realistic impression of atmosphere, rooms, and amenities. And this impression is conveyed very clearly by the official website. The rooms are designed in the categories of single and double rooms with or without balconies, complemented by a calm, classic style with cozy furnishings. The descriptions emphasize the clear interior design, and the sizes of about 21 to 30 m² show that these are rather generously proportioned hotel rooms. The room amenities include, depending on the category, shower/WC, telephone, cable TV, Wi-Fi, as well as other practical details like kettle and hairdryer. Especially for the balcony rooms, the south or west orientation plays a role, as it promises more light, air, and views of the surroundings. For image searches, this means: the house does not sell an artificial lifestyle image but a solid, friendly, and well-maintained accommodation style focused on relaxation. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/zimmer/))

The whole also fits harmoniously into the self-presentation of the hotel. House Rufinus describes itself as a non-smoking hotel and as a place where tranquility, relaxation, and recovery are at the center. The own wording of Inhale, Breathe, Exhale is more than just a slogan; it describes the character of the house remarkably accurately. The guest impressions on the website also support this image with references to clean rooms, modern bathrooms, friendly hosts, and a well-maintained house. Such impressions, while not official performance features, fit the overall presentation of the house as a small, personal retreat. For users searching for images or reviews, an important expectation is thus set: not a loud event location, but a quiet, lovingly run house focused on well-being. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/?utm_source=openai))

The communal areas and the position of the house also play a role in the impression. The breakfast room is described on the website as flooded with light, and the wellness areas as harmonious and perfectly formed. This creates an image that goes beyond the actual room: those staying here do not just use four walls but an entire small relaxation environment. For the search query images of House Rufinus at Kloster Seeon, this is important because images also trigger expectations about mood and usability. The house delivers a clear picture here: bright, quiet, manageable, personal, and close to nature. This visual and atmospheric line is likely one of the reasons why many guests choose the accommodation for short relaxation stays, business trips, or excursions to Lake Chiemsee. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/region/hotel-am-chiemsee-im-chiemgau/?utm_source=openai))

Wellness Cellar, Breakfast, and Relaxation in Hotel Garni

The wellness area is one of the most defining elements of the house. House Rufinus explicitly calls the Wohlfühlkeller the heart of the house. There, a Finnish sauna, an Ottoman steam bath, an aroma bath, and an infrared cabin are available. The offer is complemented by a relaxation tunnel, a Kneipp facility, and relaxation zones. Those wishing to relax even deeper during their stay can also book a massage or cosmetic treatment. Thus, the house is not just an accommodation with breakfast but a hotel consciously focused on regeneration. Especially for guests searching for wellness cellar, relaxation, or tranquility, this equipment provides a significant added value compared to a classic standard hotel. The official formulations show that relaxation here is not seen as a secondary matter but as a central promise. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/wellnesshotel-wohlfuehlkeller/))

The breakfast area continues this same character. According to the official description, the house serves a rich buffet selection every morning in the light-flooded breakfast room. The price and reservation page confirms that breakfast is included in the room rate. This makes the house interesting for travelers who want to start their mornings uncomplicated and prefer to eat outside in the evening or explore the region. That the accommodation is operated as a hotel Garni fits perfectly with this model: focused on overnight stays, breakfast, and relaxation, not on a large gastronomic full operation. Thus, those searching for House Rufinus breakfast find no marketing promise but a solid, concrete service. This is particularly attractive for short vacationers because the day begins without organizational pressure. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/region/hotel-am-chiemsee-im-chiemgau/?utm_source=openai))

Another practical point is the conditions for the wellness cellar. According to reservation information, the use costs €10 per house guest and can be booked directly at the house. Sauna towels are provided free of charge, bathrobes can be borrowed for a fee of €5 at the reception. This transparency is important as it clearly answers the search intention regarding prices, amenities, and additional services. Pets are also mentioned: for dogs, a final cleaning fee of €20 applies. Such details show that the house keeps its stay clearly calculable. In summary, a coherent overall picture emerges from breakfast, wellness, quiet location, and simple rules. This combination explains why the accommodation fits so well into search queries for wellness hotels, breakfast, parking, and information. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/zimmer-in-seeon-chiemssee/reservierungsinformationen/?utm_source=openai))

Seminar Room, Events, and Special Stays

House Rufinus is not only interesting for vacation guests but also for small business or thematic stays. The official seminar page describes a seminar room of 60 m² for up to 20 people directly in the building. The house explicitly speaks of a stylish and private environment for corporate seminars. For search terms like seminar room, events, or information, this is significant as it expands the usability of the house beyond the classic vacation stay. The rooms are not designed for large mass events but for concentrated, quiet formats with a personal atmosphere. This fits well with the overall idea of the house: discreet, manageable, and beneficial rather than anonymous and overloaded. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/seminar/))

The website itself also shows that special formats occasionally take place at House Rufinus. The events page describes, among other things, an astrological symbol setup in small groups of up to ten people. It is therefore not about a broadly spread event program like in a large arena but about consciously small, intimate formats that fit the quiet character of the house. This orientation is quite interesting for SEO relevance, as the search intention behind events, programs, or special events often asks for extraordinary, personal offers. The house offers exactly that in its own niche: space for seminars, retreats, and small groups, combined with overnight stays, breakfast, and wellness. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/veranstalltungen/?utm_source=openai))

For companies, coaches, group leaders, or private organizers, this results in a clear benefit. A small group can meet on-site, stay overnight, and regenerate in the wellness area in between. The location by Klostersee also creates an environment suitable for focused work and quiet conversations. In many cases, this combination of nature, retreat, and functional infrastructure is more valuable than a large, impersonal conference hotel. Therefore, House Rufinus is particularly interesting for keyword combinations seminar room, hotel Garni, information, and prices. The accommodation shows that small houses with clear specialization are often more flexible than large hotels. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/seminar/))

History from Grain Store to Modern Hotel

The history of House Rufinus is extraordinary and a central plus point for inquiries regarding information, history, or special features. The official chronicle of the house explains that in 1732, under Abbot Rufinus Mayr of the Benedictine Monastery of Seeon, a grain store was completely rebuilt at this location. The name of the present house is therefore no coincidence but a direct historical reference. The chronicle describes the building as a three-story storehouse with grain floors and vaulted barn, which served the storage of grain riches. Even this origin makes it clear that House Rufinus is not just an arbitrarily converted holiday property but a house with deep roots in the monastery's history of the place. ([rufinus.de](https://rufinus.de/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/chronik_haus_rufinus.pdf))

In the 19th century, the use changed multiple times. The chronicle documents that the grain store was integrated into state and private ownership in 1804 and 1808, later sold in 1853 to Donna Amelie, the Empress Dowager of Brazil, and then underwent further changes of ownership. Important for the history of the building is also that the store was temporarily used as a horse and pig stable as well as a feed store, and even had an apartment built in. During World War II, an armaments company was housed there before the building became known as Bavariahaus after 1945. This development shows how closely the house is connected to the economic and political upheavals of the region. Today, all of this seems far away, but these historical layers give the place its depth. ([rufinus.de](https://rufinus.de/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/chronik_haus_rufinus.pdf))

The more recent history ultimately leads to the present hotel. According to the chronicle, the former Bavariahaus was renamed House Rufinus in 2001; since then, the hotel has been managed by Dita Jensen. The chronicle describes the house since then as a hotel Garni*** in the modern expansion of the historic building, as a non-smoking hotel with 22 attractively furnished guest rooms and a wellness cellar. This connection between historical substance and modern use is what makes the charm of the house. Therefore, those staying here today do not sleep in an interchangeable new building but in a structure that has undergone a long and unusual development. For content related to history, special features, and images, this is a strong narrative core. The past here is not just decoration but part of the experience. ([rufinus.de](https://rufinus.de/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/chronik_haus_rufinus.pdf))

The proximity to Kloster Seeon further enhances this historical reference. The region around Seeon presents itself as a place with culture, lake landscape, and tradition; Kloster Seeon itself refers to a history of over 1000 years of the former Benedictine abbey. House Rufinus therefore does not fit into this environment by chance but stands in a coherent cultural context. Those wishing to combine a stay with history, monastery, lake, and relaxation will find a suitable address here. This also explains why search terms like House Rufinus at the monastery, House Rufinus Seon, or House Rufinus at Kloster Seeon information fit so well into the content structure of the house. ([kloster-seeon.de](https://www.kloster-seeon.de/en/about-us?utm_source=openai))

Seeon, Klostersee, and the Surroundings for Short Breaks

Seeon itself is an important part of the offer. The official site describes the place as quiet, serene, and characterized by lakes and hills. Klostersee is reachable in just a few minutes on foot and is considered a popular swimming lake. Additionally, there is the Bavarian cultural landscape with Kloster Seeon, the traditional village structure, and opportunities for walks around the lake. For guests who do not just want to stay overnight but consciously experience an area, this is a decisive factor. House Rufinus benefits from the fact that the place is not loud and overcrowded but offers a relaxed, nature-close environment. This is exactly what attracts travelers looking for relaxation, nature, and a certain distance from everyday life. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/seeon/?utm_source=openai))

The region around House Rufinus is very versatile. The official region page mentions swimming, sailing, cycling, golfing, tennis, horseback riding, and hiking; in winter, ice skating and curling on Klostersee are added. This selection makes it clear that the house is not just intended for one night but as a starting point for active days. The proximity to Lake Chiemsee, Klostersee, and the surrounding nature and cultural destinations ensures that guests can flexibly design their programs. For many users searching for House Rufinus at Kloster Seeon, Seeon Seebruck Germany, or images of House Rufinus, this connection between accommodation and region is relevant: one wants not only to see the room but also to understand what experiences are directly associated with it. ([rufinus.de](https://www.rufinus.de/region/))

Particularly interesting is also the practical proximity to other destinations in Chiemgau. The website refers to Herrenchiemsee Island, Chiemsee shipping, and the Kampenwand cable car as excursion options. This makes it clear that House Rufinus is not isolated but is located in a region that combines nature, history, and leisure. Those who plan their stay well can start the morning in the breakfast room, spend the day by the lake, use the wellness cellar in the evening, and undertake short trips to cultural or scenic destinations in between. This mix of lake, culture, tranquility, and good accessibility makes the house an address that works very well in the search context of information, prices, images, arrival, and reviews.

The room is cozy and classically furnished. The bathroom, as you can see in the pictures, is beautifully renovated. The owner is very friendly. There's something for everyone at breakfast. If we ever work in this area again, we'll definitely stay here.

We had a truly wonderful week at Haus Rufinus. A lovingly run hotel, the owner, Mrs. Jensen, always has a smile on her face and always a kind word for her guests. We were able to spontaneously book two wonderful massages, which we highly recommend! We especially have to emphasize the cleanliness; fresh bed linens were provided every other day...we don't even experience that in 4-star hotels.... Our dog was welcomed just as warmly as we were and actually only paid a minimal final cleaning fee...amazing!! All other accommodations in the area charge an additional €25 per day🤨 The only small drawback is the road in front of the hotel...almost everyone drives too fast here...but that didn't bother us much...you can close the windows and the noises disappeared. Dear Mrs. Jensen, thank you for the wonderful, relaxing time in your house! Best, Iven & Jana Morawietz with Detlef🐕

Paying for the room upon check-in was unfortunately not possible. When I politely asked if I could pay for my room before breakfast, which unfortunately wasn't served until 7:30, the request was again denied, even though the lady clearly had the time. Only after my insistence was my outrageous request granted. And upon check-out, it became very clear what the lady thought of me: condescending and presumptuous. After breakfast, I wasn't even given a goodbye. Regarding the room, number 6: It's very noisy. And the bathroom is very small; sitting on the toilet is almost impossible. The television is far too small, and the channels aren't sorted. All in all, not recommended.
