What an incredible experience! My wife and I recently stayed at the Happinger Hof Hotel in Rosenheim, and it was the perfect introduction to Europe for these first-time American visitors. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such warmth and kindness by the entire staff. A special thank you goes to Penelope at the front desk. She was an absolute lifesaver! I realized with a panic that I had mistakenly booked our checkout for the day before our flight. Penelope graciously extended our stay with no fuss, saving us from a very stressful situation. Her patience and understanding were deeply appreciated. The exceptional service continued in the restaurant. We were served by a wonderful young woman who was so nice and attentive during our dinner. She made us feel right at home. And speaking of the restaurant, the breakfast was a true highlight of our trip. The variety and quality were outstanding. We were amazed by the seemingly endless choices of fresh-baked breads and cakes, a fantastic yogurt bar, and plenty of fresh eggs and other delicious items. The hotel itself is absolutely charming. With its traditional Bavarian architecture, it provided an authentic German experience. The location is perfect—it's in the quiet Happing neighborhood, just on the outskirts of Rosenheim. We loved that it's on the bus line, making a trip downtown easy and affordable (just 2 Euros!). Taxis are also a convenient option, costing around 15 Euros. Rosenheim itself is a wonderful home base for exploring Bavaria, as it's perfectly situated on the train line between Munich and Salzburg. We wholeheartedly recommend Happinger Hof. We are so sad to leave and only wish we could have stayed longer!

We enjoyed three nights here recently. This large hotel’s proximity to Rosenheim, the Alps, the Chiemsee, etc. is great. Our room was very comfortable, albeit facing the street, which remains surprisingly busy until late and then again early in the morning. Given the temperature, we slept with open windows which made us notice the road noise. The food and drinks served in the restaurant and beer garden were very good. We found the service in the beer garden to be chaotic (wrong orders brought to the table, used dishes sitting on tables for a very long time). Locals that we sat with confirmed that this was often the case.

The rooms were delightful with flowers cascading down the windows. The food was incredibly fresh and tasty. Many vegetarian options and patient, caring service. The environment in the southern Bavarian countryside is rejuvenated. I recommend staying here and renting a bike from one of the nearby towns so you can explore the trails and countryside.

Very nice hotel fitting perfectly with the countryside style. Service is excellent, rooms have a nice wooden touch making it very charming. Hotel has free parking, which is very rare in the region. I know it's not very common in Germany, but having AC in the future will be a nice add, as the summers are sometimes really hot.

Excellent value for money and a great location too. Friendly staff and good food, (although portions were very large,) although they will serve you a smaller portion on request. Breakfast buffet was also excellent with everything you could ask for. It has also been featured in a few episodes of Rosenheim Cops.
