The tourism page describes the inn as located in the midst of the Upper Bavarian Inn Valley, directly at the foot of the Wendelstein, and emphasizes that the establishment is easily accessible by all means of transport despite its rural idyll. For guests, this is a great advantage because the location appears both close to nature and practically connected. Beer Garden, Cuisine, and Celebrations in the Fest Hall
The beer garden is one of the strongest unique selling points of the Gasthof Falkenstein Metzgerei Schwaiger. The website describes it as a well-known beer garden under chestnut trees, which is appreciated far beyond Flintsbach. Especially in the summer months, it becomes a meeting point for locals, motorcyclists, cyclists, hikers, and guests from near and far. The atmosphere is deliberately Bavarian and simultaneously open to different target groups: those stopping by after a mountain tour find just as much space as families or travelers simply looking for a quiet, shady spot. The website also mentions weekly grill evenings and Bavarian live music on Wednesdays in summer. Additionally, there are delicacy evenings with specialties like crispy pork knuckles or, in good weather, grilled fish on a stick. Such offerings show that this is not just standard gastronomy but a lively, seasonally coordinated experience. A special note is also made of the Weisswurst action on Fridays, which is currently unavailable due to staff shortages according to the website. Such honest notes build trust because they show that the establishment communicates transparently and does not artificially pretend to have perfect availability. Therefore, those searching for beer gardens, events, or specialties receive a very authentic picture of the house. ([gasthof-falkenstein.de](https://www.gasthof-falkenstein.de/gasthof/))
The Gasthof is also very well set up for celebrations. The website lists various rooms in the inn, including the guest parlor with Swiss pine wood and vaults, the Falkensteinstüberl, and the Kloane Stub'n. For larger occasions, the fest hall is available with a capacity of 60 to 150 persons. Additionally, the homepage provides a practical overview: guest rooms for 60 persons, Falkensteinstub'n for 50 persons, Kloane Stub'n for 25 persons, and fest hall for 60 to 150 persons. This makes the establishment suitable for weddings, family celebrations, larger groups, and corporate events. The website explicitly states that the host Markus discusses special requests with guests to ensure the success of the celebration. This is important because many users are not only looking for a hall or a room but for a host who personally accompanies planning and implementation. In connection with the own butcher shop, Bavarian cuisine, and the beer garden, a complete package emerges that is particularly attractive for celebrations: food, space, atmosphere, and accommodation can come together in one place. This combination of capacity and atmosphere is a clear advantage for search terms like fest hall, weddings, events, or rooms. ([gasthof-falkenstein.de](https://www.gasthof-falkenstein.de/))
History, Tradition, and the Metzgerei Schwaiger
The history of the Gasthof Falkenstein Metzgerei Schwaiger is exceptionally long and deeply rooted in the region. The tradition page of the website begins with the establishment of the Falkenstein Castle around the year 1000 and describes how the village of Flintsbach and thus the property at today's Kufsteiner Straße 6 developed at the foot of the mountain. As early as 1280, the property appears to be owned by the falcon stone judge Churat Haslanger. From the 14th century until the secularization in 1803, it was owned by the Petersberg provostry. In the Petersberg Saalbuch of 1459, a Peter Wirt is mentioned, and in 1579, reference is made to the Hoftafern zu Oberflintsbach. These historical details show that for many centuries, inn culture, supply, and social life came together at this location. Particularly interesting is the note that in 1823, the then-owner Franz Pallauf built the first Komödienstadel for theatrical performances. The plays themselves date back to 1673 according to the website. This makes it clear that the location was important not only gastronomically but also culturally. For inquiries such as about, history, information, or tradition, this is a strong foundation. ([gasthof-falkenstein.de](https://www.gasthof-falkenstein.de/start/tradition/))
The family history is just as formative as the local history. According to the website, Balthasar and Maria Schwaiger took over the inn in Oberflintsbach in 1909, and since then, the Schwaiger family has managed this property and its service in the fourth generation. This continuity can still be felt today in the house's appearance: family-run, listed, regionally rooted, and simultaneously open to guests from near and far. The tourism page complements this view by describing Flintsbach as a place with a special cultural and recreational role and pointing out that the village is known for the second oldest folk theater in Germany. This makes the Gasthof Falkenstein fit perfectly into an environment that connects history and present. The company name Gasthof Falkenstein Metzgerei Schwaiger GmbH also makes it clear that this is a professionally run establishment with a long tradition. For people who are not just looking for a table or a room but want to understand the character of a house, this mix of centuries-old history, family continuity, and modern hospitality is crucial. The Gasthof thus stands not only for food and accommodation but for a piece of lived Upper Bavarian inn culture. ([gasthof-falkenstein.de](https://www.gasthof-falkenstein.de/start/tradition/))

Gasthof Falkenstein Metzgerei Schwaiger | Opening Hours & Prices
The Gasthof Falkenstein Metzgerei Schwaiger in Flintsbach am Inn is much more than an ordinary place to eat or stay overnight. It combines the atmosphere of a listed, traditional Bavarian inn with its own butcher shop, a well-known chestnut beer garden, guest rooms, holiday apartments, and spaces for family celebrations, weddings, and other occasions. Its location on Kufsteiner Straße makes the establishment easy to find, while the surroundings in the Upper Bavarian Inn Valley and at the foot of the Wendelstein already give the feeling of having discovered an authentic, down-to-earth address upon arrival. Those looking for opening hours, prices, directions, parking, reviews, or background information will find many concrete details on a single location page. The combination of inn, butcher shop, and accommodation is unusually strong and makes the establishment interesting for day guests, travelers, cyclists, hikers, families, and groups alike. The official website emphasizes its own slaughtering, freshly prepared cuisine, long tradition, and the characteristic beer garden under chestnut trees. The tourism page adds to the location description with the alpine surroundings, good accessibility, and the special role of Flintsbach as a starting point for excursions, nature experiences, and regional culture. Opening Hours of the Restaurant and Butcher Shop
Those looking for the opening hours of the Gasthof Falkenstein Metzgerei Schwaiger will find clear and practical information on the official website. For the restaurant, the hours are: Tuesday to Friday from 4 PM, lunch by request, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM. This makes the establishment particularly suitable for evening visits during the week and for extended weekend stays when hikers, cyclists, families, or day-trippers are out longer anyway. The butcher shop has separate hours and is easily accessible on weekdays in the mornings and at noon. The hours mentioned are 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Fridays 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturdays 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This separation is important for inquiries such as opening hours, butcher shop, snack bar, or weekly menu, as the restaurant and sales can be organized differently. The official site also points out special days like the butcher snack bar and the weekly menu, indicating that this is not just a classic inn operation, but also a strong everyday offering. At the same time, the website mentions that hot meals are served continuously on Saturdays and Sundays. This is practical for guests who do not want a fixed meal time and prefer to arrive flexibly. For precise planning, it is always worth checking the current website or making a quick call, especially if lunch service, group inquiries, or special requests are involved. ([gasthof-falkenstein.de](https://www.gasthof-falkenstein.de/start/anfahrt/))
The opening hours also fit well with the profile of the house as a host for day-trippers and overnight guests. Those arriving in the afternoon can stop by directly after a drive through the alpine region or after a walk in the village. Those traveling on weekends benefit from the continuous kitchen from 10 AM and can combine breakfast, lunch, coffee time, or an early dinner depending on their daily plans. The separate hours for the butcher shop are also relevant for many inquiries, as fresh meat and sausage products, snack offerings, and take-away dishes come together here. The website points out that the butcher shop works with its own slaughtering and processing, and the butcher snack bar is particularly popular because it offers tasty and affordable dishes daily. This creates a location that is not only touristy but also anchored in everyday life. Therefore, the opening hours are not just a service note, but part of the identity of the house: in the morning the butcher shop, in the afternoon and evening the inn, long kitchen hours on weekends, and additional seasonal focuses like beer garden operation, grill evenings, and delicacy offers. For users specifically searching for opening hours or butcher shop hours, these details are the crucial information. ([gasthof-falkenstein.de](https://www.gasthof-falkenstein.de/gasthof/))

The breakfast buffet can be booked separately and costs according to the website 8.00 euros for children aged 3 to 14 years and 12.50 euros for adults. Type C with balcony, apartment 202, accommodates up to four persons and is 58 square meters large, also starting at 95.00 euros. ([gasthof-falkenstein.de](https://www.gasthof-falkenstein.de/hotel-1/preise-zimmer/))
The accommodations are particularly important for the location because they make the inn a true overnight address beyond just the restaurant. According to the official website, there are 7 guest rooms in the main building with TV, hairdryer, shower, and WC, as well as 3 holiday apartments in an apartment building just 50 meters away. The apartments are suitable for 1 to 6 persons and feature a balcony or terrace, emphasizing the view of the village and mountain landscape. The tourism page adds that guest rooms and holiday apartments are classified with three or four stars; additionally, a lift, partially accessible rooms, underground parking, bike cellar, sun terrace, sauna, and chestnut beer garden are mentioned. Practical information includes free WiFi, free parking directly at the house, free mineral water in the room, and the possibility to cancel short stays of up to 3 nights free of charge up to 2 days before arrival. A surcharge of 10 euros per night is mentioned for dogs, with a maximum of 2 dogs per room or apartment. There is also a dedicated E-charging station directly at the house; usage costs 0.60 euros per kilowatt-hour. This combination of price structure, amenities, and direct booking makes the establishment interesting for families, couples, and active vacationers looking for not just a room but a functional and well-embedded base in the Inn Valley. Reviews, Awards, and Quality
In inquiries about reviews or ratings, the Gasthof Falkenstein Metzgerei Schwaiger stands out with several positive signals. The provided location data indicates a rating of 4.6 from 320 reviews, which already suggests that the establishment is well received by many guests in everyday life. Additionally, the official website refers multiple times to awards and explicitly emphasizes the special quality of the inn and butcher shop. The establishment describes itself as listed, family-run, and rooted in the region for generations. On the homepage, it states that the Metzgerei Schwaiger is known far beyond the Flintsbach region for quality and freshness from its own slaughtering and processing. The inn itself focuses on fresh, lovingly prepared specialties, Bavarian delicacies, and self-made sausage specialties. This is important for perception in reviews, as guests often honor exactly these criteria: authenticity, quality of products, reliable opening hours, friendly service, and a coherent overall picture. The furnishings of the rooms with Swiss pine wood and vaults, the cozy parlors, and the beer garden under chestnut trees contribute to a positive impression. Therefore, those searching for experiences, reviews, or information should not only look at stars but also pay attention to recurring themes of quality, tradition, and regional cuisine. ([gasthof-falkenstein.de](https://www.gasthof-falkenstein.de/))
It is particularly noteworthy that the establishment does not rely on any arbitrary standard offering but has developed a very clear profile. The own butcher shop with its own slaughtering, the butcher snack bar with affordable dishes, and the classic guest rooms with Bavarian delicacies convey the image of an address that builds not on effects but on substance. The history of the house and the long family continuity also affect credibility, as many guests trust a traditional inn for genuine continuity rather than interchangeable marketing. The fact that the website describes the establishment as the epitome of a classic Bavarian inn fits perfectly with this perception. Combined with user reviews, a clear picture emerges: here, kitchen, accommodation, family, and tradition intertwine. For those searching for reviews, information, or general background, this is a strong signal. Not every review needs to be considered individually when the overall picture from the official appearance, existing awards, and a stable guest base is coherent. That seems to be the case here. ([gasthof-falkenstein.de](https://www.gasthof-falkenstein.de/))
Directions, Parking, and Accessibility
The location of the Gasthof Falkenstein Metzgerei Schwaiger is one of the reasons why the establishment is also relevant for inquiries about directions and parking. The address is Kufsteiner Straße 6 in 83126 Flintsbach am Inn. The official website also mentions a free parking lot directly at the house, which is particularly important for families, day guests, cyclists, and travelers with luggage. Therefore, those searching for parking, directions, or location receive a very clear answer here: the establishment is not only scenically beautiful but also functionally well connected. Additionally, the tourism page points out the barrier-free character of the restaurant. Categories A and B for barrier-free accommodation or gastronomy establishments are mentioned, as well as an available parking space, a WC without grab bars, and partially limited movement space. This is valuable for users who want to check in advance whether a visit or an overnight stay is possible with mobility restrictions. ([gasthof-falkenstein.de](https://www.gasthof-falkenstein.de/start/anfahrt/))
The surroundings also support good accessibility. Flintsbach is located in a region that is interesting for both hiking and excursions to Kufstein or Salzburg. The tourism page mentions that the village is about a 15-minute drive from the nearest ski areas in winter and invites visitors to swim, cycle, mountain climb, and hike in summer. This means for directions: the inn is ideal as a stopover, starting point, or destination for active vacations and day trips. Those visiting the beer garden do not have to fear complicated parking searches; those planning a celebration benefit from an address that works logistically well for larger groups. The combination of free parking, direct street location, and touristically well-known surroundings makes the location very uncomplicated overall. Therefore, for SEO searches related to directions, parking, and Flintsbach am Inn, it is particularly important that the establishment is both well embedded regionally and practically usable. The address is clear, access is easy according to the tourism page, and the website makes it clear that guests are welcome on-site and can plan their arrival without detours. ([gasthof-falkenstein.de](https://www.gasthof-falkenstein.de/start/anfahrt/))

On a tour of Europe, family members took us to the Gasthaus restaurant for dinner one evening. We had already been in Germany a few days and enjoyed a few traditional meals. We were so pleased to see that Gasthaus topped them all! We had a corner booth in a centuries-old Bavarian inn with personalized service and delightful food. We enjoyed schnitzel, potato salad, liver, drinks and much more. The prices were fair and the atmosphere was perfect. I definitely plan to return on future trips to Germany.

I have eaten here several years in a row on holiday and always enjoyed the food and the service. They have a nice location and good food. However, this year our server seemed confrontational. I hated to ask anything as she was just not very friendly. At the end I still wanted to tip and gave her an amount to add. She proceeded to add a higher amount and at this point I really didn't want to deal with her anymore so I just ran my card. I know good people are hard to find these days but adding extra to a tip is not professional at all.

We had dinner in the restaurant and were very satisfied. I had a Krustenbraten with dumplings and cabbage together with a domestic beer. It tasted really good.

Depends what you are looking there for. In my case, I wanted to have dinner, but for 20 EUR I left hungry and they asked directly for a tip. For a drink and showing up, the place is pretty fine.

We came across this place at the last minute (word of advice: don't wait to book your hotel, many close by 6:00). Rooms were small but comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Only negative, the hamburger was probably the worst thing we ate our entire trip. Avoid the hamburger. Besides that, I would stay here again and would highly recommend it.
