Old Post Flintsbach | Events & History
The Old Post in Fischbach is one of the most prominent cultural addresses in Flintsbach am Inn. The historical ensemble at Kufsteiner Straße 84 combines a monument, event venue, and meeting point for village life in a way that has become rare in the region. Those searching for Old Post Flintsbach, Old Post Fischbach, or the current program will find here not an anonymous hall, but a place with a rich history, clearly recognizable character, and a very lively community connection. The municipality describes the Old Post as a focal point in the Inn Valley, which has established itself thanks to its diverse cultural program. Today, the place is used for concerts, cabaret, celebrations, and other events, with the community hall and the courtyard forming the two main stages. This creates a mix of historical atmosphere, practical use, and local identity that makes the Old Post as interesting for visitors as it is for organizers and residents. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/flintsbach-erleben-und-entdecken/alte-post-in-fischbach.html?utm_source=openai))
Historical Roots of the Old Post in Fischbach
The history of the Old Post begins early in the 19th century: Johann Evangelist Linmayer had the four-sided building constructed in 1802/1803. The municipality reminds us that the building was much more than just an inn at that time. It housed the post office with horse stables and sheds for the carriages, an economy, a brewery with storage cellars, and an inn with a tavern. Thus, the facility was not only a transport point but also an economic and social center in the district of Fischbach. In historical representations, the Old Post is also classified as one of the defining post office buildings of the old connection between Munich and Innsbruck, which makes the location on the transport axis even more understandable. The building itself is described as a two-story four-wing structure with steep hipped roofs and arched passageways, a building type that still visibly reflects its representative origin today. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/flintsbach-erleben-und-entdecken/alte-post-in-fischbach.html?utm_source=openai))
Particularly important for today's appearance is the phase of municipal preservation and renovation. The municipality of Flintsbach a.Inn has owned the historic building since 1971. In 2004 and 2005, the facility was extensively renovated before the ceremonial inauguration took place in September 2005. Ten new rental apartments and a café were also created, so the Old Post was continued not only as an event venue but as a lively building ensemble. This mix of monument protection, housing, and public use is an essential part of its character. The official site emphasizes that a lively center has been created for Fischbach once again. This development makes the Old Post interesting today: it is not an artificially staged event backdrop but a historically grown house that has adapted to the needs of the community over decades. The character of the monument remains preserved while the use remains contemporary and versatile. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/flintsbach-erleben-und-entdecken/alte-post-in-fischbach.html?utm_source=openai))
From an SEO perspective, this historical depth is particularly valuable because users often search for terms like Old Post History, Post Station, Brewery, or Cultural Venue. The Old Post connects all these themes in a single place. Those interested in regional architectural history can recognize here the repurposing of a former transport and inn house into a community focal point. Conversely, those looking for a practical event location receive a house with verifiable history and clear current function. This dual role makes the building so unique: historical authenticity on one side, communal openness and cultural use on the other. This creates a location that is visited not only because of its past but precisely because of the way this past continues to live on today. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/flintsbach-erleben-und-entdecken/alte-post-in-fischbach.html?utm_source=openai))
Community Hall, Courtyard, and Event Services
The practical strengths of the Old Post lie in its clear spatial structure. The municipality explicitly mentions the community hall and the Mediterranean courtyard with the Floriansbrunnen as the defining event venues. Additionally, there is an event service through which the rooms can be rented for various events. The official description makes it clear that not only a single hall is available, but an ensemble with kitchen, cold storage, foyer, and restrooms. For planners of celebrations, concerts, readings, club evenings, or smaller cultural formats, this is a strong signal because it provides not only a beautiful backdrop but also a functional infrastructure. This is a clear advantage, especially for events with catering or longer stays. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/flintsbach-erleben-und-entdecken/alte-post-in-fischbach.html?utm_source=openai))
The community hall is obviously the heart of weather-independent formats. At the same time, the courtyard of the Old Post gives the place an atmosphere that goes far beyond a normal multipurpose room. In the official presentation, it is described as Mediterranean, and the Floriansbrunnen adds an additional architectural accent there. This combination is particularly attractive for visitors because it allows for a transition between protected indoor space and open-air ambiance. Precisely for this reason, both classic hall formats and outdoor events take place at the Old Post. This is also evident in the current program, where concerts are explicitly announced for the courtyard and, in case of bad weather, are moved to the community hall. The place can thus be used flexibly and is atmospherically independent. ([flintsbach.de](https://flintsbach.de/?utm_source=openai))
For organizers, it is also important that the Old Post is designed not only culturally but also organizationally for usable processes. The municipality refers for more information on rentals to the municipal administration of Flintsbach a.Inn. This is a practical note because it makes clear that booking, coordination, and content-related questions are handled through a municipal structure and not through a changing private operator. This transparency appears trustworthy and makes the location particularly interesting for clubs, private celebrations, cultural initiatives, and community-supported offerings. The Old Post is thus not just a rental hall but a publicly shaped cultural venue with understandable contact structures. For users, this means: planning security, local contacts, and a location designed for reuse, everyday relevance, and various formats. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/flintsbach-erleben-und-entdecken/alte-post-in-fischbach.html?utm_source=openai))
The images and descriptions on the municipal website also support this impression. Among other things, exterior view, playground, set dining hall, event hall, Christmas party, Old Post in Advent, the wine cellar, and the courtyard are shown. This indicates a multifunctional facility that can cover various needs from formal celebrations to family events to seasonal markets. For search queries like Old Post Community Hall, Old Post Courtyard, or Old Post Rental Rooms, this information is particularly relevant. The variety of rooms is not a minor aspect but a core feature of the house. Precisely because the Old Post has grown historically and is also modernly usable, it fits events with a personal touch as well as official or cultural programs. This makes it equally interesting for the local market and the surrounding region. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/flintsbach-erleben-und-entdecken/alte-post-in-fischbach.html?utm_source=openai))
Current Program, Concerts, and Tickets
The Old Post is primarily visible today through its program. The homepage of the municipality of Flintsbach regularly points to current dates, and the Old Post appears there as a fixed program point in community life. For 2026, the municipality mentions, for example, the concert by Kurbi & Friends titled Brass and Glory on June 21 and a gala concert by Music Theater Bavaria on July 29. Both events take place in the courtyard, but in case of bad weather, they will be held in the community hall. This weather-flexible programming is particularly helpful for visitors because it combines planning security with atmosphere. At the same time, it shows that the Old Post is used for both smaller, intimate formats and larger musical evenings. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/?utm_source=openai))
Remarkably, the character of many offers is also notable. The municipality emphasizes that at some events, admission is free (voluntary) and no advance ticket sales or seat reservations are planned. This shows an open, low-threshold access that fits well with a community-supported cultural venue. At the same time, depending on the event, there are indeed offers with advance sales through the municipal administration, which is particularly relevant for certain program points of the Old Post series. For users searching for Old Post Tickets, Old Post Program, or Old Post Event Calendar, it is therefore important: The house does not operate according to a rigid scheme but according to the respective event format. Anyone planning a specific event should always check the current date because ticket regulations, weather concepts, and the district of the program may vary depending on the occasion. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/?utm_source=openai))
From the published event entries, it can also be inferred that the Old Post is used in a wide cultural spectrum. Mentioned are, among other things, stand concerts of the music band Flintsbach in the courtyard, fish festivals in the courtyard, Advent market formats, Christmas programs, and cabaret evenings. This diversity is particularly relevant for the search intent surrounding events because it reflects not only musical evenings but also seasonal and community formats. Those searching for Old Post Events or Old Post Cultural Venue usually want to know whether it is a purely concert location or a versatile usable place. The answer is clear: both. The program shows a mix of music, customs, festive operations, and community events that give the Old Post its regional recognition value. ([d.hey.at](https://www.d.hey.at/events/393242?utm_source=openai))
For visitors, the advance sale is also practically organized. In several program histories and current contributions, the municipality refers to the ticket advance sale at the town hall or in the municipal administration at Kirchstraße 9. This is a typical feature of municipal cultural venues: tickets are centrally handled by the municipality rather than through a separate box office of the venue. Therefore, anyone wishing to attend a specific event should read the current program carefully, as some dates are offered for free, others are organized through advance sales, and others are conducted without reservations. This mix makes the Old Post interesting for different target groups, from spontaneous visitors to planning culture enthusiasts. The location thus remains approachable, clear, and well integrated into local community life. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/aktuelles/itemlist/category/11-alte-post-programm.html?utm_source=openai))
Directions to the Old Post in Flintsbach am Inn
The address of the Old Post is clear and easy to find: Kufsteiner Str. 84 in 83126 Flintsbach am Inn, district Fischbach. For directions, this precise location information is particularly helpful because the location is not in the middle of an anonymous big city but in the clearly structured district of Fischbach. The municipality itself describes Flintsbach as part of the Bavarian pre-Alps, located about 70 kilometers southeast of Munich and between Rosenheim and Kufstein. Thus, the Old Post is easily accessible from both the Inn Valley and the broader southeastern Bavarian area. Those searching for Old Post Directions will therefore primarily find a classic destination for regional visitors, clubs, and culture enthusiasts from the surrounding area. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/flintsbach-erleben-und-entdecken/alte-post-in-fischbach.html?utm_source=openai))
The location in the district of Fischbach also gives the Old Post a more rural than urban character. This is important not only for the atmosphere but also for orientation on site. Unlike a large exhibition hall or a city theater, the Old Post is embedded in a grown local structure. For guests, this usually means shorter distances in the village, a manageable environment, and a quieter arrival experience. Those planning in advance should orient themselves to the address line and check the respective event situation because the municipality regularly uses the place for different formats. Especially for courtyard events, it is advisable to pay attention to the municipality's notes or the current program, as weather regulations and event locations are specifically named there. ([flintsbach.de](https://flintsbach.de/?utm_source=openai))
The regional classification is also interesting due to the location. Flintsbach is in an area characterized equally by tourism, nature, and culture. On the municipal pages, in addition to the Old Post, other local offers, hikes, and leisure destinations are presented. This underscores that the Old Post is not isolated but part of a larger excursion and cultural area. Those planning a visit can therefore easily combine the location with other stops in the village or in the nearby surroundings. For SEO search queries like Old Post Flintsbach, Old Post Fischbach, or Old Post District Fischbach, this local connection is crucial because it clearly distinguishes the location from other houses with the same or similar name. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/14-verwaltung-rathaus.html?utm_source=openai))
Practically, this means: The Old Post is a clearly addressed, regionally anchored event venue with a location that is easy to remember for both locals and guests from outside. Especially since the name often occurs in other places, the complete location information with Flintsbach am Inn and Fischbach helps with clear assignment. From the users' perspective, this is important because many search queries initially start generally and then narrow down to a specific location. The Old Post in Fischbach is exactly this specific target address, with clear municipal assignment and a well-communicated presence in local event life. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/flintsbach-erleben-und-entdecken/alte-post-in-fischbach.html?utm_source=openai))
Parking, Reservations, and Practical Tips
Regarding parking, the official information is to be read cautiously. The Old Post page of the municipality does not specify any own parking spaces or a detailed parking plan. This is an important practical point for visitors searching for Old Post parking or Old Post parking lot. The location is clearly addressed, but the municipality focuses on publishing the location, program, and room usage, not on a detailed parking concept on the same page. Therefore, those arriving by car should check the specific parking situation in advance with the municipality or at the respective event. This is not a limitation but a realistic and clean planning rule for a community-used cultural venue. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/flintsbach-erleben-und-entdecken/alte-post-in-fischbach.html?utm_source=openai))
The situation with tickets is similarly nuanced. Some events are announced with free or voluntary admission, while others require advance ticket sales through the municipality. Therefore, it is important for visitors not to assume a single ticket model. The Old Post functions more like a cultural venue with a mix of events, where each event has its own logic. This means: a concert may not require reservations, another may require advance sales, and yet another may be part of an open community event. For users who orient themselves to search terms like Old Post Tickets or Old Post Event Calendar, this transparency is helpful because it shows that the current date is always the most reliable source of information. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/?utm_source=openai))
The usage situation itself also provides practical hints. The Old Post is not a pure event arena with a central ticket center and standardized visitor guidance, but a historical community site with changing uses. This results in a certain local openness: events can take place in the courtyard or in the community hall, and in case of weather changes, appropriate reactions are made. Therefore, anyone planning a visit should pay attention to exact location and time information, look for weather notes in the program descriptions, and possibly contact the municipality in advance. Especially for courtyard events, this can be sensible because the facility is intentionally used flexibly. The practical consequence is therefore: for good accessibility, current ticket questions, and possible parking hints, always use the respective current announcement as a basis. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/?utm_source=openai))
For rentals, something similar applies. The municipality names the usable rooms very specifically but refers to the municipal administration for details. Therefore, anyone planning a celebration, a club evening, a concert, a family event, or a seasonal event should not only search for the name Old Post but always include the municipal contact person. This is particularly relevant because the rooms are apparently designed for various types of use and the processes may vary depending on the format. Overall, this creates a very honest picture: the Old Post is well described, historically rich, and culturally vibrant, but in practical matters, it is consciously organized locally. For many visitors, this is exactly an advantage because it strengthens the character of the place and does not let the event disappear in an interchangeable event structure. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/flintsbach-erleben-und-entdecken/alte-post-in-fischbach.html?utm_source=openai))
Why the Old Post as a Cultural Venue in the Inn Valley is Convincing
The Old Post convinces not only because of its history but also because of its current character as a lively community focal point. The official formulation that a lively center has been created here hits the core very well. The facility unites historical architecture, communal use, cultural program, and practical event spaces in a compact area. This creates a place that is anchored in the everyday life of the community while simultaneously attracting guests from outside. For search queries like Old Post Cultural Venue, Old Post Events, or Old Post Program, this is crucial because the location is not just a building but an active part of local life. It is large enough for events but approachable enough to feel personal. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/flintsbach-erleben-und-entdecken/alte-post-in-fischbach.html?utm_source=openai))
The mix of courtyard, community hall, and historical building structure also contributes to the appeal. Visitors do not experience a sterile multifunctional hall here but an ensemble that has retained its identity through renovation and use. The former post station with brewery has not been museum-frozen but has been further developed as a place for contemporary culture. Exactly this makes the Old Post attractive for events in the Inn Valley: it offers credible character, communal reliability, and flexible use. This combination is valuable in the regional cultural offering because many people consciously seek places that combine atmosphere and practicality. The Old Post fulfills this expectation very well without losing its historical background. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/flintsbach-erleben-und-entdecken/alte-post-in-fischbach.html?utm_source=openai))
Additionally, the municipality visibly maintains its cultural offerings. The Old Post appears on the homepage, in the event calendar, on program pages, and in local announcements. This shows how closely the place is connected to community life. For visitors, this is an advantage because currentness and regional embedding come together. Therefore, anyone looking for a location with history, active use, and well-documented information will find a convincing address in the Old Post. This applies to culture enthusiasts as well as families, clubs, organizers, and guests seeking a place with its own atmosphere in the Inn Valley. The connection of tradition, renovation, and recurring programming is precisely what makes it appealing. ([flintsbach.de](https://www.flintsbach.de/?utm_source=openai))
In summary, the Old Post Flintsbach is a house with a strong identity: historical post station, communal cultural venue, event location with courtyard and community hall, and a visible sign of how regional architectural history can remain vibrant. Those who come here do not just visit a location but a piece of Flintsbach local history that is still actively used today. That is why the Old Post is so relevant for those searching for events, tickets, directions, parking, or rental rooms. It fulfills these search intents not with arbitrary marketing phrases but with a real place, clear facts, and a recognizable profile.
For organizers, it is also important that the Old Post is designed not only culturally but also organizationally for usable processes. Current Program, Concerts, and Tickets
The Old Post is primarily visible today through its program. Remarkably, the character of many offers is also notable. The municipality emphasizes that at some events, admission is free (voluntary) and no advance ticket sales or seat reservations are planned. This shows an open, low-threshold access that fits well with a community-supported cultural venue.

There's a nice walk nearby - the Philosopher's Path. While you're at it, you like to stop by the café in the Old Post, the service is always very friendly, you can sit outside and enjoy the view of Heuberg.

Beautiful Christmas market. Beautifully decorated barn and great handmade items to buy, plus food stalls and mulled wine in the courtyard. I will definitely be back there next year.
