KOPF.KINO at Salzstadel: Three Evenings Full of Perspective Shifts Under the Open Sky

The KOPF.KINO Documentary Film Days will transform Salzstadel in Rosenheim from May 14 to 16, 2026, into a unique event experience with a cinema atmosphere, discussions, and urban summer flair. The format focuses on documentary stories that touch, surprise, and broaden the view of the world.

Living Room Cinema in the Green

In the open air, a rare mix of relaxed open-air ambiance and focused audience mood emerges. The KulturKlub Rosenheim is presenting the Documentary Film Days in cooperation with the city library for the fifth time, emphasizing strong films, communal experiences, and a carefully curated program. For Saturday, the film begins at 5:30 PM, while on the other evenings, the program starts around 8:00 PM.

Documentary Film Meets Summer Evening

The preview promises four perspective shifts over three evenings: from dance and social change to a look at Helsinki, and stories about circus children, sled dogs, and Arctic experiences. This mix makes the event interesting for a broad audience that appreciates documentary film, culture, and emotional proximity.

Enjoyment, Encounter, and Good Organization

From 7:00 PM, and on Saturday from 5:00 PM, the bar will serve drinks. There will also be vegan delicacies from Pink Deli. Admission is free, making attendance particularly accessible. In case of rain, the cinema will move to the Rosenheim City Library at Salzstadel 15, ensuring the event is also weatherproof.

The Venue at Salzstadel

The Salzstadel, located centrally in Rosenheim, is considered a well-connected place with proximity to parking and public transport. The surrounding area is urban yet pleasantly open, allowing the open-air cinema to harmoniously blend into the summer landscape of the city center. This creates a rounded event experience with a short journey and clear orientation for visitors.

Anyone who loves documentary film, special places, and a lively event atmosphere should not miss KOPF.KINO. The combination of free admission, open-air character, and program quality makes the Documentary Film Days one of the most exciting cultural events in May in Rosenheim. Experience it live now and enjoy the stories on the big screen.
