When suddenly murder is on the dinner menu
Three married couples have been meeting for years for a joint dinner at the restaurant. But on this evening, the familiar camaraderie takes a turn: Behind polite gestures, old tensions, and seemingly harmless conversations lurks a deadly secret. In the murder dinner For Dessert Blue Iron Hat, the theater club Aschau in Chiemgau combines stage art, culinary atmosphere, and criminal suspense.
A dinner thriller with sharp dramaturgy
The play by Madeleine Giese unfolds its charm from a tightly woven web of relationships. Friendship turns into mistrust, a shared meal becomes an investigation under suspicion. Each character brings their own story to the table – and thus also a possible motive for murder. The dramaturgy thrives on pointed dialogues, surprising twists, and the question of whom the audience can still believe.
Theater atmosphere close to the audience
The country inn Goldener Pflug becomes the stage for a special theatrical experience. The closeness between acting and the audience creates an immediate theater atmosphere, in which glances, pauses, and the smallest gestures suddenly gain meaning. Between laid tables and a culinary ambiance, a space arises where the criminal case unfolds right before the eyes of the guests.
Participate in guessing, observing, forming suspicion
Those who listen attentively discover contradictions, shifted loyalties, and clues that initially seem like side notes. The audience experiences the evening not only as spectators but as criminal observers. The audience reaction is part of the special appeal of the format: Laughter, astonished glances, and tense silence become part of the production.
An evening between acting and enjoyment
For Dessert Blue Iron Hat represents a form of amateur theater that links camaraderie and suspense together. The stage design is created from the real dining area, the acoustics remain immediate, and the action comes literally closer to the guests than in a classic proscenium stage. Thus, the directing work of the theater club merges with the special atmosphere of a shared restaurant evening.
Conclusion: A murderously entertaining theatrical experience
In the country inn Goldener Pflug, theater enthusiasts can expect an entertaining dinner thriller with black humor, personal entanglements, and an exciting search for the perpetrator. Those in the mood for acting in special proximity, a culinary atmosphere, and an evening full of suspicions will experience theater in a different way here – right in the action and with all senses.
