Discover School Life: Open House Day at the Free Waldorf School Chiemgau
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Free Waldorf School Chiemgau in Prien am Chiemsee will open its doors. Families, interested individuals, and anyone interested in enrollment or transferring will gain authentic insights into lessons, school life, and educational work from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
Open Classes and Lively Workshops
Starting at 10:00 AM, open classes will take place for grades 2 to 8. Visitors will experience school life firsthand and gain an impression of the learning methods of the Waldorf school. The forge and weaving room will also be open, allowing hands-on craftsmanship and practical education to be vividly experienced.
School as a Cultural Learning Place
The event combines information with personal encounters. A school tour starting at around 12:15 PM will make rooms and learning environments accessible. Conversations with representatives of the school will provide the opportunity to clarify questions regarding the Waldorf school path, qualifications, school fees, and bus lines.
Information for Families
Starting at around 1:15 PM, topics such as mathematics at the Waldorf school, German in the upper grades, and the various educational pathways will be the focus. Information tables from the school, supporting associations, and the parents' representation will complement the program. The school kitchen will introduce itself and offer a meal at noon.
Invitation for Personal Acquaintance
The open house day is particularly aimed at families interested in enrollment or a transfer. Instead of a purely informational event, guests can expect an immediate discovery experience with lessons, workshops, conversations, and insights into the cultural heritage of Waldorf education.
