Wasserburg kicks off the sports weekend with speed, team spirit, and title competitions
On September 19 and 20, 2026, the Badria in Wasserburg am Inn will transform into a stage for movement, community life, and competitive excitement. The Sporty Weekend brings together the Day of Clubs, the German Youth Championship in Field Strength Sports, the new Badria Run & Ride as well as the Bavarian Basketball Championship Ü35 in one weekend.
A weekend between participation activities and championship atmosphere
Already on Saturday at 9:30 AM, the Day of Clubs is all about trying things out. Visitors will experience the full spectrum of local sports, from club presentations to active participation stations. There’s also the special energy of a weekend where not only is there watching, but active participation.
Badria Run & Ride: Premiere with running and cycling distances
Sunday is dedicated to the premiere of the Badria Run & Ride. Between 9 AM and 12 PM, the start will take place in front of the Badria sports field. Runners can choose between distances of 5 and 15 kilometers, while cyclists can opt for 21 and 42 kilometers. The entry fee is 5 euros for adults and 2 euros for children. All participants will additionally receive a two-hour free ticket for the Badria. The format combines endurance, family-friendliness, and sporting dynamism into an experience with real excitement on the course.
Field strength sports and basketball create competitive excitement
Alongside the participation program, the German Youth Championship in Field Strength Sports will take place on both days. Strength, technique, and explosive movements shape the scene here. On Sunday, from 12 PM to 6 PM, the Bavarian Championship in Basketball Ü35 will follow in the Badria hall. Thus, the weekend encounters different sporting cultures, from fast-paced games in the hall to pure athletics outdoors.
Stadium atmosphere with club spirit
TSV 1880 Wasserburg and the Badria are creating a festival for the whole region. Beer garden, catering, and proximity to the sports fields create an atmosphere where fan chants, families, club colors, and competitive fever come together. The Sporty Weekend promises short distances, strong emotions, and a program that connects movement and encounters.
Conclusion: Anyone who comes to Wasserburg on September 19 and 20 will experience a sporty weekend with participatory character, championship flair, and plenty of energy. The Sporty Weekend offers the rare chance to experience several disciplines in a single, vibrant sports festival.
