Winter Playground: Public Ice Skating at the SPIE Arena
On Sunday, October 25, 2026, the SPIE Arena in Rosenheim will transform into an open ice surface from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM for everyone who enjoys movement, ice skates, and a winter stadium atmosphere. Beginners, families, and experienced ice skaters will share in the sporting activity on the ice.
Gliding, turning, gaining speed
Under the hall roof, every step counts: Those who glide safely over the ice train their balance, coordination, and technique. Initial cautious curves alternate with fast laps as the skates cut through the prepared ice surface. Learning aids for children are available for a fee.
Sporting experience for families and recreational athletes
Public ice skating offers an uncomplicated introduction to ice sports. Families enjoy shared time on the ice, young people improve their technique, and recreational athletes bring movement to the Sunday afternoon with varied laps. The SPIE Arena is also the home of the Starbulls Rosenheim, making it a place with a strong hockey tradition.
Admission and Equipment
The single ticket costs 3.00 euros; discounted tickets are available for 2.00 euros. Discounts apply, among others, to children and teenagers up to the age of 18, students, apprentices, and holders of the Green Pass. A ten-ticket pass costs 27.00 euros, discounted 18.00 euros. Ice skates can be rented for 3.00 euros; the sharpening service costs 6.00 euros.
Important Notes for Visitors
The public skating event takes place on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. As occupancy plans may change at short notice, it is advisable to check the current information from the ice stadium before traveling. During the construction phase, the previous entrance will remain open; barriers on-site must be observed.
Conclusion: The SPIE Arena combines movement, ice sports, and the Rosenheim stadium atmosphere for an active Sunday afternoon. Put on your skates, take your first steps, and experience public ice skating live.
