Kolbermoor targets: City Championship in Sport Shooting opens the competition
In Lohholz, it will be precise, focused, and sportingly exciting: At the City Championship in Sport Shooting, Kolbermoor citizens and members of the local shooting clubs compete. From November 4 to 7, 2026, air rifle, air pistol, and the light or laser rifle for children under twelve are on the program.
Four days of precision at the shooting range
The competition days combine Bavarian shooting tradition with true sporting ambition. From Wednesday to Friday, the shooting ranges open from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, while on Saturday, the competition runs from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The venue is the shooting house at the Gasthaus Seiderer in Lohholz.
Tactics, calmness, and every single shot
In sport shooting, it is not the speed but the control that matters. A stable stance, clean breathing, and a steady trigger pull form the foundation for a strong series. In the regular age categories, 40 scoring shots are planned. Students up to the age of 14 fire 20 shots, while children under twelve compete with the mounted laser or light rifle.
Wide participant field and fair scoring
Even experienced shooters can find a suitable challenge: From the age of 51, mounted shooting with 30 scoring shots is possible. The top three positions in each scoring class receive certificates and medals. Additionally, on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the Altschützengesellschaft Lohholz, a special shooting target will be shot.
Stadium atmosphere between shooting range and club house
Instead of fan chants and floodlights, concentration, tension, and the tense silence before the shot define the atmosphere. Every hit brings movement to the scoring, and every miss increases the pressure on the next series. This exact mix of precision, nerve, and regional club bonds makes the competition alluring for participants and spectators alike.
