When Aschau opens Carnival

On November 11, 2026, the new Carnival season begins in Aschau im Chiemgau. The Carnival Guild Aschau invites you to the presentation of the prince couple and the guard girls and transforms the opening into a colorful stage experience full of tradition, dance, and festive theater atmosphere.

An evening between tradition and stage art

The start of Carnival thrives on its special moment of tension: The new season lies before the audience like a blank stage, then the prince couple and guard step into the light. The production combines regional Carnival tradition with choreographed movement, costumes, and a close-to-audience dramaturgy.

The guard in the spotlight

With the guard presentation, the Carnival Guild Aschau shows what the audience can look forward to in the upcoming season. Precise formations, lively steps, and the concentrated energy of the dancers make the evening a vibrant insight into the acting art of Carnival. The interplay of music, movement, and light creates that festive tension that makes the season opening special.

The new prince couple takes over the reign

The presentation of the prince couple forms the ceremonial highlight. For the Carnival season 2026, the Carnival Guild Aschau presents Stefanie Sattelberger and Leonhard Mentzel as the prince couple. With their presentation, the new session receives a face, and the Carnival community its symbolic center.

Close to the audience and Aschau Carnival tradition

The event is aimed at everyone who wants to experience Carnival rituals not just from a distance but up close. Between heartfelt greetings, guard dances, and shared anticipation, an atmosphere emerges where generations meet. The stage experience thrives as much on the audience's reaction as it does on the careful preparation of the Carnival Guild.

Conclusion: The prince couple and guard presentation marks the official start of a new Aschau Carnival season. Those who want to experience regional stage art, dance, costume tradition, and festive atmosphere up close will find the perfect start here. Mark November 11 now and welcome Carnival live in Aschau.
