The Mobile Atelier in Kiefersfelden: Contemporary Art in the Heart of the Village
When an empty store becomes an art space, the perception of a place changes immediately. The Mobile Atelier in Kiefersfelden brings contemporary art directly to Dorfstraße 29 from July 19 to August 30, 2026. In the former Red Cross store, an open studio is created where Rosa Hirzer and Vitus Vogl-Fernheim share their visual worlds, working processes, and ideas with visitors.
An Artistic Experience between Illustration, Painting, and Mural
Rosa Hirzer works at the intersection of illustration, animation, graphic design, and painting. Her works revolve around natural forms, colors, intuition, and interpersonal dynamics. Vitus Vogl-Fernheim combines illustration, communication design, comics, and striking murals into a visual language that brings together everyday observations, music, literature, and imagination. Together, they create an exhibition atmosphere that feels playful and experimental, yet appears precisely curated.
Open Studio, Creative Proximity, Cultural Education
The Mobile Atelier is not a classic white-cube space but a place of encounter. Those who stop by experience artwork up close, can ask questions, and follow the development of sketches, print graphics, painting, and mural design. This is where the strength of this format lies: cultural education is not explained here but made tangible through direct exchange.
Participate, Observe, Engage in Conversation
This summer of art is a gain for Kiefersfelden, as it enlivens the town center and enables low-threshold cultural participation. The doors are regularly open; in addition, creative workshops and events are scheduled in the holiday program. Thus, the project combines participatory art with an atmosphere that fosters curiosity, creativity, and aesthetic experience.
A Visit to Remember
For those interested in contemporary art, artistic processes, and vibrant mediation, this offers an unusually direct artistic experience. The Mobile Atelier in Kiefersfelden demonstrates how strongly art can impact everyday life when presented in an approachable, open, and place-specific manner. A visit is definitely worthwhile – for all who want to not just see art but experience it as it comes to life.
