Oboe sound at the highest level: The final concert in Sachrang
On Friday, October 9, 2026, the hall in the Hotel zur Post in Aschau-Sachrang will be transformed into a stage for young musical talents. The final concert of the Master Class Oboe from the Music Forum Sachrang presents the results of an intensive course week live in front of an audience.
Delicate tonal colors and musical precision
The oboe combines a characteristic, often warm and simultaneously penetrating sound with high creative diversity. In the final concert, technical sovereignty, chamber music attention, and expressive stage performance come together. The audience experiences how breath control, articulation, intonation, and musical synchronization grow into a cohesive concert experience.
Master class under experienced leadership
The master class is led by Prof. Hansjörg Schellenberger and Ramon Ortega Quero. Schellenberger is internationally established as an oboist, conductor, and longtime orchestral musician. Ramon Ortega Quero, an award-winning oboist and recipient of the Borletti-Buitoni Trust award, combines solo experience with pedagogical work and has previously led oboe master classes in Sachrang.
Live atmosphere in the Hotel zur Post
The hall in the Hotel zur Post creates a focused environment for a concert where direct contact between the stage and the audience is at the center. Clearly articulated oboe lines, finely tuned ensemble passages, and the unique tension of a public finale shape the audience's mood. Every musical moment shows how an intense rehearsal process leads to a vibrant stage performance.
Free entry and open to music lovers
Entry to the final concert is free. This provides a low-threshold access to classical music and a special educational situation: The audience hears young musicians present the works they developed during the master class in a large sound space.
Look forward to a concentrated, inspiring concert experience with characteristic oboe sounds and high-level musical training work. Experience the final concert of the Master Class Oboe live in Sachrang and discover the special atmosphere of an evening where learning, stage practice, and passion come together immediately.
