20th Century Rocks Transforms Aschau into a Stage for Jazz, Rock, and Pop

20th Century Rocks: When Jazz, Rock, and Pop Merge in Aschau

On Saturday, November 7, 2026, the Priental Hall in Aschau i.Chiemgau will become the stage for an extraordinary concert experience: The jazz trio 20th Century Rocks with Christian Schanz will take the audience on a musical journey through the sound history of the 20th century.

Famous Songs, Surprisingly Retold

Pink Floyd, David Bowie, and jazz classics come together and obtain a new sonic perspective through piano, double bass, and drums. The arrangements combine distinctive rock melodies with the freedom of jazz and create space for subtle dynamics, spontaneous turns, and energetic improvisations.

Between Ballad and Groove

20th Century Rocks moves stylistically with great openness: expressive ballads stand alongside complex song structures and rocky improvisations. This creates a sound that resonates with familiar melodies while allowing ample room for individual stage performance, interaction, and musical surprises.

A Trio with Attentive Interaction

Christian Schanz on double bass, Josef Reßle on piano, and Andreas Krieger on drums focus on concentrated listening and precise synchronization. The interplay of bass foundation, pianistic harmony, and variable drumming results in transparent sound images, driving groove, and an intense live atmosphere.

Musical Journey Through Multiple Eras

The program connects rock and pop history with jazz standards from the Great American Songbook as well as original compositions by Christian Schanz. Thus, great melodies, orchestral sound ideas, and improvisational openness come together. The result is varied, virtuosic, and full of musical movement.

Conclusion: An Evening of Concert Full of Sound Colors

Visitors can expect a genre-crossing jazz evening with well-known songs, new arrangements, and palpable joy of playing. Those who want to experience rock classics, jazz, and lively improvisation in a special concert atmosphere should discover 20th Century Rocks live on November 7, 2026, in the Priental Hall.
