Brahms Song Evening at Christuskirche Prien
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, Marion Seidel and Irina Loskova will dedicate themselves to the songs of Johannes Brahms in the Evangelical Christuskirche Prien. The concert evening begins at 7:00 PM and combines dramatic mezzo-soprano with delicately nuanced piano playing.
Poetic Sound Worlds of Johannes Brahms
The focus is on songs by Johannes Brahms, whose musical language is closely linked to German poetry. Poems by Clemens Brentano, Klaus Groth, Heinrich Heine, Detlev von Liliencron, Georg Daumer, Reinick, Flemming, and other poets open a multifaceted interplay between word, melody, and piano part.
Mezzo-Soprano Meets Rich Piano
Marion Seidel shapes the program with dramatic mezzo-soprano. Her voice meets the piano playing of Irina Loskova, who, as a concert pianist and song accompanist, ensures precise musical synchronization. The focus is on expression, text intelligibility, and the differentiated orchestration of the piano.
Live Atmosphere in the Christuskirche
The Evangelical Christuskirche at Kirchenweg 13 provides a concentrated setting for the song evening. In the church's acoustics, singing and piano have space for subtleties, dynamic contrasts, and immediate stage performance. This creates a classical concert experience that makes the poetic character of Brahms' songs directly tangible.
An Evening for Lovers of Art Song
The Brahms Song Evening is aimed at all who appreciate the special dialogue between voice and piano. The combination of romantic song art, German poetry, and chamber music intimacy makes the concert evening an intense experience for classical music fans and friends of sophisticated vocal music.
Conclusion: Visitors can look forward to an atmospheric song evening featuring Johannes Brahms, performed by Marion Seidel in dramatic mezzo-soprano and Irina Loskova on piano. Those who want to experience the emotional power of art song live will find a special concert evening in Prien on October 24, 2026.
