34U IN CONCERT: Three sound worlds, an unmistakable evening
On Friday, November 6, 2026, the trio 34u brings its musical mix of jazz, folk music, and classical to Marias Kino in Bad Endorf. Jakob Kastner, Benno Panhans, and Raphael Bauer combine different musical traditions into a personal sound full of playfulness, precision, and surprising turns.
When folk music meets jazz
At 34u, Styrian accordion and piano by Jakob Kastner, the guitar by Benno Panhans, and the double bass by Raphael Bauer come together. Traditional folk music leaves room for jazzy improvisations, and classical motifs appear in new rhythmic contexts. This creates a multifaceted concert program that sheds new light on familiar sound colors.
Young musicians with great musical maturity
The three musicians met at the Ignaz-Günther-Gymnasium in Rosenheim and regularly perform in the Upper Bavaria region. All three have competition successes and versatile stage experience. Raphael Bauer has performed in the Federal Youth Orchestra as well as in other renowned ensembles. Benno Panhans has been awarded the cultural promotion prize of the Rosenheim district, while Jakob Kastner is deepening his musical training in Styrian accordion, piano, jazz, and composition as a young student.
Unplugged closeness and vibrant stage performance
The concert experience thrives on the direct acoustics of the instruments. Plucked guitar strings, the warm resonance of the double bass, the rhythmic presence of the Styrian accordion, and the harmonic agility of the piano merge into a transparent overall sound. The arrangements alternate between calm, finely arranged passages and energetic moments with jazzy groove.
